ok, why when im shooting RIGHT AT SOMEONE do they not freakin die .... i have my sniper dot right on thier friggin head and they keep running when i shoot from the hill across the distance. oh yeah is it out yet? the full that is

is only on a few maps tho
you can really dive and shit and fire torpedoes
game has some bugs but it is blown up abit . i sold a shitload of copies and no complaints yet .
so there some bugs but not major issues just make sure u got enuff ram and ram is cheap still

right now about 7k folk play at any one time. its second behind HL and all of its mods. but no single half life mod has as many folk in it as BF1942. so in reality BF1942 is the top FPS.

sniping is an art that involves patience, concealment, target detection, and creation of oppurtunity. snipers in real life very rarely shoot a moving target. snipers enforce the laws of darwinian selection on the battlefield. ur main targets are the stupid folks that inhabit the field of combat. the smart ones seldom if ever get shot by a sniper but they are not ur main effort anyway. the goal of the sniper is not to win battles or take points or capture territory. the sniper is a force multiplier. they work best as support and scout units reporting back what the enemy is doing and taking out harmful enemy personal like other snipers, engineers and soldiers that are dumb enough to stand still in a battlefield in the open. a good snipe will put himself in a position where he has cover or concealment from enemy observation while allowing a good view of the battlefield. doing the first two things patience and concealment will create oppurtunity and over time improve ur target detection skills. for a begining sniper dont shoot a moving target and practice on targets mving toward and away from u and work ur way up. with practice u will learn how much lead u need on a laterally moving target. its hard but not impossible. even harder still is the sniping of a target in a jeep or a gunner in a moving vehicle. when u can sipe a jeep driver moving at a 90 degree angle to ur positin u have achieved greatness. i have done it i know it can be done. u will probably get accused of using cheats and hacks. i take those accusations as compliments of the skill i have worked to get to that level.

thankyou janna for the tip, appreciate the info bro. i will be getting the full this weekend (only have demo right now *sniff*) if the demo works fine do you think the full version will? i have 256 MB RAM so i think it will, when i goto college next year im gonna get some green and upgrade my puter. i have one more question about bf. when im engineer, im sitting still and guy is running AWAY or TOWARDS me and im shooting him like point blank almost and he still doesnt DIE!!!!! do i just suck or what?

they did something with the engineer .
n the sp demo the riffle of the engineer was waaaaaaaaay to powerfull . one could snipe with it .
i think they overreacted and tuned it down so much that the weapon is useless .
i like playing engineer and i noticed the same thing ..
i quit using that weapon and use the pistol i got more frags with that one .

I've only ever killed two people with the engineer rifle-- usually I just drop exp packs and use that as my main weapon Or the pistol if they are in the middle of reloading.

if they are running towards u aim slightly above thier head if they are running away aim at the middle. this should assure a head shot in either case causing instant death. head shots are anything from the shoulders up. the more deflection that the target has (deflection is the ammount of left/right travel relative to ur PoV) the more u need to lead them. it will vary depending on the server ur on. i dont think ping really matters as much as the hardware the game is running on. when i play on the EAUK servers i ping about 150 and only have to lead the target a little. when i play on the US based EA servers i have to lead the target a lot more. i think the UK got better hardware heh. best way to judge ur lead is to use a automatic weapon on the enemy the first time u spawn and see how much lead u need. rinse/repeat till u got it for that server. once u get the art of leading a target down and get some practice in ull be p@ssing off morons and having folks call u a HaXxoRing fking cheater in no time (happened to me last nite, sniped like 5 guys in a row all moving in formation straight towards my position almost as easy a shot as standing targets but if u can get sniping a moving target down then the basics apply to all parts of the game. one tip the only time in the game that shows when a target is actually damaged is physical reaction such as smoke coming from a vehicle or a enemy hunching over reflexively when hit. sparks from bullet hits and explosions from shells do not mean that u hit the target. it means taht ur client registered a hit on the target not the server. the only two indicators are the smoke/fire and body reactions of enemy troops. the rest is just fluff, pretty fluff, but just fluff. perhaps i should make a TG only guild to BF1942 heh.

i do host one-to-one games to teach mechanics in parts of games i like that i think i am good at. so if u want i can show u all about sniping/flying/tanking/bazooka use/assault/subs/ships etc.
