Best Graphic Card

What is the ultimate gaming graphic-card available to this date?

Also, which is better:

GeForce GTX 280 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_gtx_280.html)

or

GeForce 9800 GX2 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_9800gx2.html)

And finally, is this any worth: SLI - 3x 896MB GeF GTX260 DDR3 PCI-E?

Generally SLI suffers under bad drivers, I woundn't go for a triple SLI. Just chekc out some benchmarks, heres an example. Crysis under 1920 x 1200, very high quality, 4xAA, 8xAF...doesn't get much harder.

Edit: i didn't see the 9800 GX2 but I believe it isn't as good. The best one atm is the AMD Radeon 4870 X2

personally i do not find that whole sli or crossfire thing to scale to well.

Also don't forget about the huge increase in power consumption with 2, 3 or 4 graphics cards as opposed to one.

Personally I don't think the electric bill increasing a lot is worth that slight increase in performance.

I feel ATIs monster 4870x2 needs mentioning. Look it up.
