Big Time Error.......

*sigh* Hi, It's me Agian i think im goign to register soon. but that beside the point.Well it seems my quest for music has revealed a amazingly high number of problems. you guys have managed to help me out this far. so im hopeing you can answer these questions.

1. When i "try" to host i get Error File Is big etc. why?

2. My music doesn't play on Battle.net, why? (i don't get the 4 mb thing...)

3. Randomly some of my trigger stopped working. why?

4. And last can some one please give me a link to a site that explains how to bypass a router AND a firewall.

this shoudl do it for my questions, i'm dtermined to get the map finished and out thier! same as always, i will be very greatfull for any help!

A file that me and 56k made together. 56k is just pimp like that, i dont know .
1) the file is simply too big, (over 5 megs)

2) did u press CTRL+S by mistake, this will mute music for you, or your trigger is messed

Your map is to big to be played on battle.net, i think the limit is 4 or 5mb.

Your music file is to big, thats probally the reason you can't host on battle.net either.

Posts your triggers that stop working.

wow, THANKS SO MUCH i hope i can host now that i got that file, you dont now how much this helps me!!!! well the "my file is to big" doesn't make any sence i know DOB is a hell of a a lot bigger than my map. but thanks so much!

you map is too big. Too much imports, or just 1 really big import. Try trimming the music.

ok sigh ithought i had this all figured out, how does the host helper work?

if your router has default ip. Then the helper file helps u skip steps in the fowarding. It gets you to the page where you allow ports, then the file shows u step by step, how to. If you have trouble with it, try updating the program.

i don'tthink thta wil work,You see heres how the computers work were i'm at. in on room thier a computer (not mine) this computer is the like the Master Computer i has all the routers/firwall stuff on it. a internet cord runs through the walls to my computer. so techinicaly would i be i hacking the other computer if i did this?

lol.. i dont know, maybe in a sense, becaue ur configuring something that is not urs, like hackers.. So , do what you feel is rite


To host, or not to host! that is the question

Yea if only you knew how many thigns i've tried to do to host. You see i im a teenager (not in my own house) and my father (user of the Master Computer) refuses to take the firewall even for a few minutes, and if i tore it down, well ti would surprise me if the next thing that got tore down was my computer.

If you're having trouble doing it, check out Bnet's tut on portforwarding, using portforward.com. It's really straightforward. Just make sure you set whatever port you want to use really high so that there wont be any conflicts (mine is 151 in a 4-computer house).
