Anyone Playing? I'm surprised there hasn't been any post about this here. I picked this game up looking for something to keep me entertained till MW2, Assassin's Creed 2, and L4D2 come out, and what i found was a great game that makes me forget all about why i got it.

The game is unique but at the same time draws so many elements from different games that any one can become familiar with it in seconds. The best way to describe it would be if you threw CoD, Halo, Bioshock, WoW, and diablo into a blender, and threw in a heavy dose of awesome, you'd get some where close to borderlands. The story line is a bit lacking, but that's not what you bought this game for, you bought it for good Ol' apocalyptic loot and shoot, and that's exactly what you'll get.

I'm about 75% through the game right now, and I've yet to get bored of it, the Co-op is fun, and the 4 classes really stand out. The Siren can Phase walk, and plays like a rogue/caster. Berserker can go berserk and deals out heavy damage with his fist, and fills the role of a tank. I haven't played as the Soldier or the Hunter yet, but the Hunter is a Sniper/Revolver expert who deals lethal damage from afar, and has a pet Bloodwing that can be summoned to deal damage to units around him. The Soldier is your basic run and gun kind of guy that fulfils the role of a support unit, able to deploy a Scorpio turret that can heal, shoot, and provide cover to the party.

If you're looking for a game like Diablo for your console, I highly suggest buying Borderlands, and if you're on the 360 hit me up, the gamer tag is Zomby Jezuz. I'll be the guy punching the shit out of thing with the Berserker.

Yeah, Borderlands is a good game, but it's shadowed by games like MW2, AC2, and L4D2.

I like the song they play on the Commercial. The commercial makes the game look badass.

I've played it up to level 25. It's pretty good, but got boring fast. Having literally hundreds of thousands of guns to find is pretty cool, but it doesn't add THAT much to the game.I know some people who really like it, but I couldn't get into it. Quite repetitive, and I would've enjoyed some more class depth.

I ended up downloading their album, not a bad band.

I hope they add some "end-game" things into the game, It's be pretty sweet to take our level 50 player into dungeon-like areas, and work together to beat a boss and get mad loot (like WoW, or other MMOs)

I just beat this game, and i must warn you the ending is a bit of a let down, but it's still rather fun to play this game with friends and strangers, I just hope they add more, and from the looks of things this could be a prequel to greater things, we can only hope.

Aside from being a mercenary, what is the actual plot to Borderlands?

I love my iPhone that can get free IGN apps that rate games :D

No plot, really, :p It's more fast-paced powa.
I think.
Might get Borderlands for XBox. That or Assassin's Creed II.

Borderlands has a plot its just kinda fuzzy unless you go through it a few times. At first your character is on Pandora for a reason that isn't so directly stated. Like Brick for example. He's here to find his sister, while lilth is here to find another Siren like herself,
Commander Steel
but while on the bus your on at the start you are contacted by "The Guardian Angel" who informs you that the vault is real and you turn all your time and effort towards finding it.

in all honestly, their pretty much is no plot.

I think you'd enjoy this game considering you liked Diablo so much.

Pretty much your just a mercenary, as someone stated before, who came to Pandora for their own reasons, These reasons are never discussed, and the game takes off on finding this Vault. The enjoyment comes from the quirky characters and the fucked up things they say. Me and my friend are always quoting this at work and while playing other games.

I'd wait for the price to drop if i had the chance to buy it again. And DLC is already out for it, although I haven't played it yet.

Nearly got my 1125 on borderlands :D

I love this game , its that awesome RPG + Cod feeling :)

The weapons are awesome... You got the elements and different types of guns... extra clips , %100 crit damage ...loads of weapon stats, its amazing :eek:

lvl 45 hunter... ok weaps ... getting to 50 takes time.. but I heard co-op gives more xp than solo ? ( if so maybe we could play some time :D )

The ending is quite weird... The commandant opens the vault and the vault keeper kebabs her :D then you gotta kill him :)

I've gotten my Beserker to 50, then quit playing cause i got all the achievements, but what happens if you beat the vault boss on the 2nd play through? anything interesting? ... maybe I'll find out on my own, don't tel me!

He is in a zombie land half dead with cuts ,survives from you collecting brains from the Braaaains[5 bits] quests :D
If you have [The island of dr.Ned ( yes he is Zed with a cool moustache ... ) ] he is in ... very south west of hollows end :) ( 435 brains required in total ... save then reload for zombies to respawn :\... )

Well getting to 50 is my goal... then the rest of the achievs and then new game...

    The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
