I'm using force bridges in my map and units refuse to go across them. I think it has something to do with the height of the bridges. I've tried a few different suggestions but none of them worked. If you can help, please do lol.

Also, i wonder how to add/remove doodades INGAME, and change the terran ingame if possible for some special effects in my map.

Do you mean that units won't walk over your bridges? If it's that, and you have edited your bridges in some way, please say because you may have done something to the bridge.
Also try using different bridges, because it might just be that one bridge.

Oh, and you can't edit terrain and stuff, in game. Just do it in the editor.

i dont think the height of the land would make the bridge not work, but make sure that the bridge touches both side and a little farther, if it still wont work try editing the pathing of the bridge to another bridge of same length and width and direction.

You can't edit doodads in-game but you can edit terrain and tileset (only with blight)

if you want to edit a doodad you cant directly do that but you can make it into a destructible (like a tree or bridge) and use triggers to do whutever you want

yes the ground height does effect it, it has made the difference for me in units can walk over bridges or not

no, i know for a fact that ground height and bridge height have absolutley no effect on bridges or any other walkables, all they do is make a pathing modifier in the region, part of it to let them pass and other parts to not. turn on the pathing-ground in veiw if you want to see all that. however the pathing is only affected right where the bridge is, not any past it, so make sure your river/canyon whatever isnt too wide.

you CAN edit doodads in-game (i even showed you how krakka with the stone gargoyles), and you CAN change tilesets of other things (not just blight) - using the action: Environment - Change terrain type at (point) to (Tile) using variation (-1) in an area (size) and shape (Circle/Square) -- but you cannot change the ground height in-game.

well for ground height you cant change the cliff type ground, but you can make distortions in the ground that dont affect whether you can walk over it.

Ive had to do this in many times in my maps to get bridges to work so dont tell me it doesnt affect them. Also, I dout that you even tried it, so do not tell me it doesnt afect them, and if it doesnt oh well at least he tried another solution.

YE but you can't like delete the doodad Grundy.

Oh yes forgot about the tiles...

You know how many stuff you can learn in WE by playing Film Makers...

Its the most boring game ever but it has awesome triggers for terraining

Thanks Guys

The bridges won't let units cross over them or under them. I changed the length of the bridge but not the pathing, that is probably the problem. Or it may be the cliff height.

The terrain changing I want to do is change water depth. And I want to have waterfalls turn off and on and increase or lower the water depth. Its just a crazy idea to make my map more unique and interesting.

u cant just go around changing bridge lents then expect them to work right, just use the basic bridges

Reply

I had to reduce the distance on the bridge to make it work.

Can units ever walk under bridges?!? Or do I have to trigger in a mini-teleporter to have them cross under it?

Where?

I know how to change the collision, but of the units or the bridges? Also, what are the pathing blockers for?

no you cant make them go over and under, but yeah you can make a trigger to move them. and as for the bridges if you want to have pathing somewhere then go to view and check the pathing - ground so you can see pathing, then use the invisible platform doodad and put it on the extended sided of the bridge, just be sure to put in elevator walls on the side of the bridge so they cant walk right onto it.

Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.

I wonder how all these bots that sit on the lastest content page get passed anubis or maybe they did not but they are just registering on whos online
  • The Helper The Helper:
showing up on whos online not registration
  • Ghan Ghan:
The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.
  • Ghan Ghan:
That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I remember the whole javascript thing, question - how many real people disable that?
  • The Helper The Helper:
Hell I guess I could go back on the stats to know that - we probably capture that and we know the before and after
  • Ghan Ghan:
Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
  • Ghan Ghan:
The internet is broken without it.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Bot readable, not human usable.
