In succession of my previous thread, I've done some research now and I think I found what I want.

Could you please rate it and help me find out whether or not I'm bottle-necking it somehow?

PC type: DELL VostroTM 200ST (Pre-built, with some changes)
  • Intel® Core™2 Duo E7200 processor (2.53GHz, 1066MHz, 3MB cache)
  • Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Dell™ 20-inch Value-breedbeeldflatpanel (E207WFP)
  • 2.048 MB 667 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2 x 1.024]
(Standard, will go for 2x2GB DDR2 800MHz soon)
  • 500 GB (7.200 rpm) Serial ATA/100 Hard Disk with 16 MB DataBurst™-cache
  • Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
    (Standard, will go for: 9600GT)
  • Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™ ADVANCED HD-software
  • Ethernet 10/100 (not /1000, don't know what that means/does)

Price:
  • PC - 550€ tax-free
  • GFX card - 120€
  • 4GB RAM - 70€
Total cost: 740€

Until an hour ago I was really convinced, but then I read this.

Could someone please confirm:
  • The PC can take the linked graphics card
  • The PC can take 4GB 800MHz
  • What 10/100 Ethernet is vs 10/100/1000

My idea is to build a PC that can both handle daily duties as function as a decent PC for Warhammer Online and other upcoming releases.

You dont want an integrated video card cause then it eats off of your RAM. As far as RAM goes you want at least 2G of probably DDR2 or DDR3. Im pretty sure the ethernet specifications refer to internet connection capabilities. Also....dump vista and get XP!

European (especially Belgian) prices are way higher than in the U.S.
100% Self-made PC would cost me nearly 1000€ (1500 USD)

Buying a pre-built PC only to upgrade its graphic card and RAM is possibly the stupidest solution out there. Not only do you waste a lot of money, but you end up with two graphic cards although you probably don't need them both and one of them will consume your RAM, as stated already.
Either get a pre-built PC and stick with what it offers or build your own "from scratch" (recommended).

The 10/100/1000 can support higher speed (about 10 times higher), under the condition both the client and the server support that speed.

Well, I live close to the border, so perhaps I could try and order one in Holland...
