Ok I want player 1 to type -music and a dialog box with all the music I put into the game and all that stuff. But I don't really know how to. If anyone could help me on this it would be great. THX!

FIrst you need to make a dialog varible and then make an array of dialog button varibles. In my trigger Music is the dialog varible and Musicbuttons are the array of dialog button varibles. Takes two triggers to get this to work and here they are.

First Trigger:

MusicBox
Events
Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -music as An exact match
Conditions
Actions
Dialog - Change the title of Music to Pick Music:
Dialog - Create a dialog button for Music labelled Song 1
Set Musicbuttons[1] = (Last created dialog Button)
Dialog - Create a dialog button for Music labelled Song 2
Set Musicbuttons[2] = (Last created dialog Button)
Dialog - Create a dialog button for Music labelled Song 3
Set Musicbuttons[3] = (Last created dialog Button)
Dialog - Show Music for Player 1 (Red)


Second Trigger:

MusicPicked
Events
Dialog - A dialog button is clicked for Music
Conditions
Actions
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
If - Conditions
(Clicked dialog button) Equal to Musicbuttons[1]
Then - Actions
Sound - Play Music
Else - Actions
Do nothing
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
If - Conditions
(Clicked dialog button) Equal to Musicbuttons[2]
Then - Actions
Sound - Play Music
Else - Actions
Do nothing
If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
If - Conditions
(Clicked dialog button) Equal to Musicbuttons[3]
Then - Actions
Sound - Play Music

Ok I got the first trigger but in the second trigger I can't find the first action. Can you tell me how to get it?

in IF :

BOARLEN CONDITION
EVALUATE (this trigger) conditions equal to true

in then: ok i donno wat he did but if u go to each trigger that this is spose to do action/ make a new trigger that turns off all other triggers then add this to this condition


at part

then: turn (triggers)ON

same with else do-- um little complicated but it might work
if u whant i can try to explane it a bit better

I dont mean to be mean, but dont look at iceking's response im not even sure what he is getting at (sorry iceking)

The first action is a if/then/else(multiple function). Its right at the top of the action list like 10 down from the top.

In the Condition section:

its a NOT a boolean like iceking said its a dialog button comparison. Set one side equal to last dialog button clicked and the other to one of your varible dialog buttons.
(MusicButton[1], MusicButton[2], MusicButton[3], ect.)

In the Then section:

THis is where you play the song

In the action:

Simply put a do nothing, first action on the list


THe second trigger just copys these lines per number of songs you have, so just copy these triggers down changing the Condition to a different dialog button and the THen to the correct music file.

I cant open that map in the editor, did you protect it. It says the level info is missing.

yo I just found out that its way too big to put on here. I think when I put it on it only put 1/3 of the map because its about 3 times what its supposed to be(big game huh, and I'm not even close to being done!) Do you think I could put it into a zip file and it work?

Ok I figured out why it was so big. It was because I had all those music things. THEY WERE HUGE! Now I guess I'll just use the mp3 in the game, you know the credits and the storm earth and fire song, those three there ok here it is small and better. Well you know what I might replace the internal music with my music when you put them in there, maybe. Well here it is...
