Haha, cool! :D

I g2g now unfortunately, so I can't play it tonight. But I will tomorrow ASAP. :)

Some quick ideas I came up with.

If possible, you could perhaps create a "Quest Display" thing somewhere that appears, and shows quests and the progress, such as in WoW or WAR. For example, the Furbolg Slaying quest, it could show the questname bolded in yellow, and under it displaying like Furbolgs Slain: 7/20.

Also, I think I've mentioned this before, some sort of a map would be great. If you ever played TKOK (The Kingdom of Kaliron RPG, awesome RPG :D), there's this option to open a world map, which is a... forgot the word... with the cinematic screens to turn colors and such... Well, that would help a lot, especially since this is a zone-changing campaign. Most of the times, I just spend minutes wandering around, searching for the zone-exits, just to find that it is the wrong zone for the quest. ^^

P.S. To other people, read the bottom of the "Screenshots" spoiler. :p

I got that already, except for the quest name part. I might add it later. :)

I'll consider the thing about the map. Not quite sure how to make it, but we'll see if I figure something out. :p

The campaign is constructed so that you have to run back and forth between maps. -It's a cheap trick to add to the gameplay time. :p
I thought putting up signs would be enough.

As you can see in the changelog I changed the quests in the first map. (When you recieve them, you see a short cinematic -instead of quest message popping up.)
-If the mayority likes the short-cinematic idea I guess I'll make one for each quest in the game, before the next release.

>P.S. To other people, read the bottom of the "Screenshots" spoiler.
-Those screenshots are from the very first version of the map. So much has changed (the Siphon Soul ability is no longer, for example).

It's great to see a new version mate, I'll most likely have time to test it tonight or tomorrow

Why not a multiboard with all quests displayed, and then a column where numbers are added if the quest is countable (as in 7/20 furbolgs slain for example). I'm no expert on multiboards at all, but it sounds fairly easy to make :)

Then maybe it's about time you make new ones and replace those? ;)

Hm, forgot about multiboard. That would be pretty cool, but if he could display the things without the multiboard... :D

EDIT: Anyway, played it again. I em so powerful! :D

Oh yeah, the Minions are still too strong. They can take all the enemies themselves, lol. The health is OK for now, but the damage and the poison ability should be weakened. The "Torment" ability is also very strong. The DPS is what kills the, I think.
And as I was playing, I was thinking, you should add a zone display. Or maybe if you type "-zone" for example, it would tell you which zone you are in.
For the Lumishrooms quest, there aren't enough of them around imo. I have to keep entering and exiting the zone just to get like 3. :) And are you sure the Orb of Frost "Nova Effect" is at 15%? Because it rarely happens, even after like 20 attacks.

My character is bugged because it saved its level from the old version when Siphon Soul was there, and now there is no ability but the ability point is taken up. So I lose one rank of skill :D. Why is the maximum level only 10? lol

Woah, nice dune worm that just ambushes you, lol. Ahh! so many of them! But I killed all of them with my "minions".

This is an outstanding piece of work. Since you're still beta testing here's necface's report card feedback!

General Issues

PROS:
-Attractive, detailed terrain loaded with doodads, but not overloaded, and using no imports at that! A++ on terrain, I think new mappers making campagns and ORPGS should DL this just to get an idea of what RPG terrain should look like!

-Interesting Warcraft themed campaign lore, you do a great job keeping the story in the Warcraft world without going overboard.

-Quests are well-written, well-executed, compelling, varied, and interesting. A+

-Custom loading screens--well done (is that Silas?)

-Interesting spell power system. Great idea there.

-Non Linear campaign maps--travel back and forth between unique zones to complete quests.

-Sheep play a key role! :D
I grew very attached to my sheep--I didn't want to sacrifice him! <3

CONS
-No creep revival system. The game could benefit from one, especially b/c some quests make you backtrack, which is somewhat boring 'cause you've cleared the area already.

-In general, it is very easy.

-No way to heal (other than buying potions) and no way to restore mana. There was ONE fountain of restoration in the entire campaign, and that was in the level 8 Tuskarr map! I found myself low on both HP and MP after the dune worms, and had to sit and wait... and wait....before I went back. Finally, i just typed in the cheat for God mode, rather than sit around waiting for HP and MP to recover!
Suggestion: In each "town" area, make a fountain, or at least an NPC healer (like that Tuskarr healer).

-Level Cap is 10, but I reached that long before I reached the last map.

-Only 3 abilities to play with. Well done (albeit basic) abilities, but still needs balancing:

Pain: No attack or spell animation when cast. Weak compared to other abilities (but low mana cost). Perhaps it could use a slight buff in damage output. This spell could use a little more eye-candy--its just a plain gargoyle missile with no special effect.
Summon Undead: No attack or spell animation when cast. As mentioned in an earlier post, very powerful at level 1 (and at all levels!). To balance, I would reduce damage output slightly, and give the skelly's about Half of their current HP.
Torment: No attack or spell animation when cast. This spell is a death sentence to any foe it is cast on! OP compared to the others--I found myself relying on it alot! At least it has a high mana cost, but I would tone down the damage on this one.
-Note that for my abilty critiques, I'd rather have strong abilities and stronger/more challenging monsters to fight! ;) See my next comment..

-Because there is only 3 abilties of 3 levels each (and no ultimate at level 10 :() there is a serious lack of strategic depth to the game. I may be being a little too stringent here, given basic wc3 gameplay, but I would like to see more strategic options and judgement needed in the battles. The enemies were too easy (and came mostly 1 at a time), and the abilities were too straightforward.
Some ideas:
1. A damage over time debuff that vampirically heals the caster, but only if it does it's full course of damage on the target.
2. A snare or stun ability--maybe give Pain extra effects with increased spellpower, for example, at 200 SP Pain stuns for 3 seconds, at 300 SP Pain heals the caster for 10% of the damage it does, etc...
3. Give summoned skeletons a "Consume Necromatic Essence" ability, like Death Pact: Click this abilty to destroy the skeleton, but heal Morbent Fell for 20% of the skeleton's hp.

-No "phat lewt" or item sets to deck out the monk.

-No on-screen quest counters.

-No real replay value, as given the ability/item choices there's no way to play it differently the second time.

Specific Issues

Main Quest:
-There is a typo (the only one i saw) right at the beginning--either in the opening cinematic or the 1st quest you get.... sorry, I forget specifically what it was.

-Dark Blue Text is very hard to read against the tileset! I often would have to shift the camera to the bounds just to see what people were telling me.

-The Banshee quest-- Popup window to accept quest appears OVER the text before you even get a chance to read it!

-I felt totally clueless as to where the Corrupt Gorge was supposed to be... I had no idea that way to the gorge was the portal right at the beginning. As a result I felt like I was just wandering around your campaign maps, cluless and with no direction, just doing side-quests. Did I miss something?

I didn't quite get what the purpose of the demon-hunter was when Pahroah-Moth hid from him.... was he supposed to be a scourge character or a traditional Demon Hunter, and if he was a bona fide Demon Hunter, why wouldn't he kill a scourge monk i.e.. the player? Maybe I missed a line of dialogue....

-Once you get to the Corrupt Gorge the terrain is markedly more "boring," most unlike the northrend tileset maps. Partly b/c of the tileset itself, but spruce it up and give it some doodad love pehaps.

-Dune Worm Spawning--seems buggy.
There were too many spawning to fight, and when I figured out I was supposed to lure them off my monk with the skeletons and run for it, more spawned to attack/block my way than I could handle. (Great concept, by the way!)
You should also fix the terrain tileset to make it so the dune worms clearly travel only on sand.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary:
Great and original campaign: terrain and quests are the strongest points, and some of the best I've seen. Abilties and gameplay need some enhancement. Report card: A-

There you have it... more than you asked for I bet! :p
Overall, very impressive work!
I may call on you for advice soon with my own campaign!

OK I have no life, but this is what happens when you report to work at 7am.

Wow. So much feedback. <3
In fact, it's so much I think I'm just gonna ignore to answer it, and instead try my best to implement it into the campaign!

All I can say for now is thanks, and I'll try to fix as much as possible.
And yea, the balance is really off, right now.. But then again, it's still just a Beta. :p

EDIT: Oh, and.. About the text color. I was "experimenting" with creating cinematics on all the quests on the first map (Highlands of Despair), to see how that worked out. -Would be great if someone told me if cinematics is better or worse than without cinematics, when recieving quests. -The worst bit about it, imo, is that you can't skip them. (Or rather, I'm too lazy atm to fix it so that you can skip them. :p)

Another suggestion:
When Nehrzul transforms your sheep, it should have a proper name... instead of a flying dragon called "Sheep" ;) Also this being the Scourge, shouldn't he become a small frost wyrm?

Wow neckface... how long did you play? I bet you cheated! :p I played for hours and am only up to the... past the 2nd desert part. :( Well... I did spend a lot of time killing those big wolves over and over... lol

You get so many lengthy reponses, Exide. :D Lucky.

Shall I re-take the S-C-R-E-E-N-S-H-O-T-S?

Wow neckface... how long did you play?

Took me between 2-3 hrs. You know what happened (here's more feedback Exide) I took the escort the necromancer quest, but instead just went around leveling up with them. I raised like 4-5 levels very quickly before I took them where they were supposed to go!! ;)

You can look on my idea thread. :D

Meanwhile, I'll try to make some here.

Dark Ritual
Conjures dark energy to surround him, and after 3 seconds of casting, the dark matter goes into a metamorphasis, transforming into a Nether Demon. The more SpellPower you have, the stronger it is. The Nether Demon is very slow, but has a powerful attack and when he attacks, he heals the caster.
Nether Demon Model: Illidan (Metamorphasis)

Death's Grasp
Sends out a hand of death itself to envelop a target area of 300. The Death Hand deals an instant 300 + SpellPower damage, and stuns enemies for 2 seconds. Units hit are then slowed by 50% for 10 seconds, and have 5 decreased armor.

Sacrificial Nova
Sacrifices ones life in order to perform a deadly ritual. Loses 200 health, and creates a nova of dark energy around the caster in a 500 area. The nova deals 300 + SpellPower damage to enemies hit, and heals allies, including self, for 150 + SpellPower.

I'm halway through testing the campaign again, and I have a few new (some of my old ones as well  ) minor things and two or three bigger issues.
I'll post full-lenght about all of it tomorrow or so, when I'm all trough the whole thing :)

btw, I like your ulti-suggestions thewrongvine  I personally like Death's Grasp best, after a nerf or two hehe :p

I got an idea for the ultimate. Don't know if it's balanced or not. (It has potential to get very overpowered, but I think it's gonna be quite ok for this game.)
So what do you think?

Code:
Learn how to cast the most devestating spell of the Fallen Monks, the Spectral Nova.

The Spectral Nova affects all enemies within 650 AoE, dealing damage to everyone equal to their total hp lost / 2!
Also heals the caster for spellpower / 2 hp.
Cooldown: 60

Not a bad ability idea Exide, but the effects don't have any connection to the name at all. With a diffrent name it'd be nice pretty tho ;)

Anyways, here's my gigantonormous feedback post :D

Both minor and major things, that either disturb or enhance my playing-experience:
*The region level indicators (see screenshot at the bottom of the post) are still bugging me! They don't reflect the level of either the NH creeps in the region or of Morbent Fell, so either balance them or remove them. Just displaying the region name is quite enough imo, even though the very best would be to have the level indicators. But only as long as they're balanced.
*Much better distribution of potions throughout the campaign. I bought potions quite a lot, so I barely ever ran out of hp. That's a good thing, compared to last time hehe ;)
*Which brings me to another thing. Why the abslutely insane long wait on buying mana potions?? If they're supposed to be that hard to get, there should be a mana equivalent of healing salve that's easy to get. That'd be a good idea actually, setting long waits (not much higher costs tho) on instant-potions and low waits on over-time potions.
*Just as a side-note, I forgot to try dying (and obviously didn't by mistake either :p). Have you fixed that?
*About Cinematics/Textbased Quests; I very much prefer using cinematics. It gives a nice feeling of campaign-ness (hehe) and it kinda forces the player to pay attention to what happens on the screen in a way that text-based doesn't. But whatever you decide on, concistency is vital. Either use cine on all the quests or on veryveryfew/none.
*Also I noticed how you changed the first Paroh-Moth cinematic, with the demon hunter. A lot better mate
*Good that you show the Arifact quest item like that, and perfectly fine that mr Fell decides to "put it away for safekeeping". I'd tbh rather see the item the whole time. If you make it undroppable you don't need to make any extra cnditions as to if the hero have it, in you triggers.
*Which also moves me on to another thing. And this is one of the Major things in this list!
Why oh why don't you have item stacking for the charged items??? If you don't know where to look for the functions to make it, I have one in a few maps of mine that works very good, and SFilip have a global one that works no matter what item type it is (mine doesn't, and it's a rewright of his anyway). But having tons of backpack slots taken up by potions with one charge is very frustrating, just so you know :banghead:
*The icons for Troment and Pain should swap ability imo. Torment have a greenish icon and a purplish effect, and perfectly the other way around with Pain. Easy to fix and would make a great diffrence imo.
*I think you should nerf Torment just a little (don't remember the stats, so I can't give you any specific suggestions here, sry). It often felt overpowered imo, but I like it otherwise.
*Torment hotkey is NOT "r" as it says in the tooltip. And I'm guessing it's the tooltip that's not as intended, since the hotkey is "C", right next to the hotkeys for the other two abilities.
*The necromancers that you escort are masters when owned by the player, and then suddenly demoted to initiates when delivered to the cold pit. All necromancers should be masters imo. Just preset the appropriate upgrade to 'researched'.
*I found a LumiShroom, but I couldn't get to it. Showed in the screenie below. Very annoying detail, but otherwise a good quest. Might be ice to have just a few more of them spawn every time entering Cold Pit.
*I ever sacrificed the sheep, and I didn't seem to have to. That is another Major (notice how I made the stars bigger on the things in the list I feel stronger about) thing I really don't like. The very thing that get you going looses all significance and is in the end forgotten. Might have worked if it was a fantasy novel of some 800 pages, but not in a fairly short campain like this. At least something, for example that you can't go through the portal to the last battle if you haven't sacrificed it or something. I just thought "no, not yet, he's carrying some items for me, I'll do it later. And before I knew it, the whole thing was over and done!
*Maximum Hero Level!!!!!! It just can't stop at 10. I got there long before I even went through the portal, which means around halfway throught the campaign. NOT to my liking hehe
*Why aren't there any quests in the Corrupted Gorge? I wanted to look at the main quest to see where I was heading, but I couldn't.. Bad.
*Ending cinematic needed!!!! At least a short one, with Paroh-moth or someone else (in case he'd die or whatever) thanks you for your services and promotes you to full EvilBastardOfDoom status ;)

Tooltip errors and other very minor things:
*Since you've written that the orb of frost doesn't stack (see screenshot below) you should wright the same on the other permanent items as well.
And if the DO stack, wright that ;) Does the pipe stack, for example?
*Tooltip for Summon Minions should show duration of the summoned units. Atm it doesn't.
*A tooltip I found in the quest log: "as (k) Brother Torgil" in the main quest after the 'royal decree'.
*Other various tooltip and estetics errors that bug me a little. See the screenies at the bottom of the post in case I've forgot to wright about any of the things I found.

If I come to think of anything else I'll post again. Great work mate, just fix these things and it'l be sooo good  :D
