can XP and 98 coexist?

Hello. I am running Windows XP but I also want to have 98 instaled on my computer to. My problem is that I have no idea how to do that and I wold like if someone wold walk me threw the doings of so.

fdisk the drive into 2 partitions
install windows 98
then insert the win xp disk
put it on the second hd partition win xp will create the boot loader

98 can only read FAT32 partitions... not NTFS.

XP can read either.

So any files that you want to share will need to be on FAT32 partition. NTFS is more efficient and secure, but that's the tradeoff you are going to have to make.

If you install a program under one OS, (for example, MS Office), you need to install it again under the other one. Even though the files are shared, each Windows will have its own Registry and system files. Keep that in mind.

All in all, I wouldn't both with 98 unless you really run some old applications or games that require it.
