Cannont Create Starcraft Broodwar Games

ok that was a bit off, i can create games but i no one can join them. If anyone tries to join them it says the latency is too high, or something like that. I have a cable modem and my cpu is not old, it cant be my internet connection. Does any one know how to fix this?? i have heard of other people having similar problems but no one knew what to do. I sometimes get a 6112 port closed message but im not sure that has anything to do with it. can any one help me out, any response is welcome.

I think you have to open that port, by either your personal firewall or your isp's firewall. Just open it in your personal firewall, or call your isp and ask them to open that port.
