Cannot Locate CD???

I installed and placed my CD 1 of BF1942 into the drive which i used to install the game (DVD Drive) I then clicked on the BF1942 icon and it reads:

Cannot Locate CD-Rom
Please insert correct CD-Rom, Click OK and restart application.

This appears after the small menu screen appears when the picture reading Battlefield 1942 with the eye in the background appears. I know there can't be something wrong with my drive because i ran the Earth and Beyond trailer to test it.

Could it be my Drive isnt updated?

The one I didnt use to install or play with is: 32x12x40

The one I did is a DVD Rom but I'm sure its not too old because its only 6 months old or so. PLEASE HELP! :(
 
try to install it from the cd burner . couldbe a copy protection issue.
 
if you have clone cd or alchol running uninstall em it will work.

Well is it an original copy of the game?
If your CD is in fact a pirat copy of the game that massage will show...
There is a way to over come this... but it includes cracking the game.
But if you really bought the game, and it`s giving you a hard time, I guess theres no harm in doing this.
You need to downlaod a crack, witch should include an exe file, and a data file, I think. Then copy them to your game folder overwriting the old files. These kind of files are easiest to find using kazaa lite, and similar programs.
However, be sure to download the crack for the lattest version of the game, or you wont be able to go online... and before cracking it patch it, with the lattest patch.
 
Im having the same problem. I dont have Alch or anything on here (I do have Nero 6) Its non pirated version.
 
Even though you have uninstalled them, there are probably entries left behind in the registry. A good registry cleaner like RegScrupXP from majorgeeks.com should take card of the issues.

    And yeah I was working. It was a suprisingly good weekend, I didn't run out of anything until today and had most of resolved. I think the only thing I didn't have some solution for was halibut, but in my defense I got 45 pounds or something last Thursday. It took me like an hour and a half at the end of the night.

    I have two salmon, Sockeye and Atlantic. Atlantic is used for the kids salmon and the salmon and beet salad, and can also be added onto any dish or just as a side. Atlantic salmon will almost exclusively ever be FARMED, as it is endangered in the wild, and we ALWAYS cut them to 4 ounces.

    SOCKEYE salmon, very different and this IS wild caught. We have an ENTREE version, and an add on version. The entree is 7 ounces, the add on is 4. Why? Because that is how someone that wasn't me set up the computer.
