Changing a unit's name with Actors

Can this be done? If so how? I looked at 90% of the Unit Actions to no avail.

Actors are only for the visuals. Unit name and all the other stats are defined by the unit itself.
I believe there's no way of dynamically changing a unit's name in-game, unless you morph it (Viking ground -> air, baneling, etc).

You might be able to use a Catalog command to change a unit's name, but this would also change the unit-types name. Not quite sure if this is what you need.
