Changing Primary Atrribute

Hi I was wondering if it is possible to change the primary attribute of a hero? It would probably be custom script but if it is possible that would be great.

yes, in the object editor, there should be an option to do so about 3/4s the way down.

You could simulate it by making a unit jsut like it, then replacing it with the same items.

The problem is that I am using chaos to change the hero and I want the new unit to have a different primary attribute.

just give the new hero a different attribute in the object editor


if not:
Trigger:
  • unselect the hero
    • replace the new hero with different attribute hero after (duration of transformation + .01) seconds
    • select the hero for triggering player!!

I'm using chaos which stores all of the former unit's data. I have already tried the OE stuff. That's why I am asking :p.

And I don't think that action exists.

Perhaps you should try another morphing ability? Like Druid Bear Form and then removing that ability from the unit

Does Druid bear form do the following things?

1) keep same items
2) replace the old unit with a new unit that has a different primary attribute
3) keep the same experience
4) keep the same abilities at the same level which they were at

4) Im not sure on this because ive only used it on units. But i would say yes.

I hope your right because if I implement this into my 36 triggers and they dont work I'm going to bust a nut. If it does work though then rep to both of you.

I did before. I couldn't get the abilities to be the same level so I didn't use that method.

It's not the cooldown I'm worried about. It's the fact that if I trigger it than the player has to relearn all of his abilities again.

Well in that thread he says how to set the level by giving some skill points and forcing the hero to learn the spell.

my idea

create 2 heroes, one hero with X attribute, and other with Y attribute, keep everything else the same...
Give both heroes the same abilities

Trigger:
  • Chaos
    • Events
      • A unit starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions
      • Ability being cast equal to Chaos
    • Actions
      • Unit - Unselect (Triggering Unit)
      • Wait 1.00 seconds
      • Unit - Replace (Triggering Unit) with (Unit Y) //different hero with different primary attribute
      • Unit - Select (Last Created Unit) for (Owner of (Triggering Unit))
      • Unit - Set the level of Ability1 for (Last Created Unit) to Level of Ability1 for (Triggering Unit)
      • Unit - Set the level of Ability2 for (Last Created Unit) to Level of Ability2 for (Triggering Unit)
      • Unit - Set the level of Ability3 for (Last Created Unit) to Level of Ability3 for (Triggering Unit)

    The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
