character doesnt apear plz help

I recently instaled diablo2 (not LOD expansion)
except the ressolution problems i encounter
(doesnt seem to be a ressolution change option)
also my character doesnt apear at all.I wonder if
the problem comes from my graphic card i use
a matrox MGA 200 8mb.If someone has already solved the problem plz help.I have already playied blizzard games such as
war3 or starcraft and worked fine.
if i install LOD expansion i heard an 800x600 resolusion option will be available.Will the problem be solved?

Make sure you download and install the newest patch from here: http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=adt0387p (in this case you need the 'original' one because you don't have the LOD expansion... yet) If you just installed the game but your characters were last saved with a newer patch version, then the game can no longer understand the files. Upgrading with the patch should fix the characters.

I think that's why your character won't show up (I assume you are talking about single player/local network characters-- because realm (closed battle.net) characters are kept on the server and should not be affected by reinstalling.)

As for the resolution: only the expansion pack supports 800x600. The original is 640x480 only. So you would need to buy the expansion pack.
 
Well its the first time i ever play diablo 2 and there is no chance
that there are already existing playiers maybe its a bug of the game so ill try insaling the latest patch.

OK well then I don't understand your original question... it's always a good idea to get the newest patch anyway

    I have two salmon, Sockeye and Atlantic. Atlantic is used for the kids salmon and the salmon and beet salad, and can also be added onto any dish or just as a side. Atlantic salmon will almost exclusively ever be FARMED, as it is endangered in the wild, and we ALWAYS cut them to 4 ounces.

    SOCKEYE salmon, very different and this IS wild caught. We have an ENTREE version, and an add on version. The entree is 7 ounces, the add on is 4. Why? Because that is how someone that wasn't me set up the computer.
