Chat Messages

Sorry. i'm a bit of a noob at map making, i would like to create a trigger that floods the chat screen with " " every time someone types something in, howerer i do not believe this can be done with GUI Triggers, please help.

sort of... i want to create a trigger that displays a text message of the chat within a certain range.

maximum rate will be this:

    Events
        Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -test as An exact match
    Conditions
    Actions
        Game - Display to (All players) the text: Flood!
        Trigger - Run (This trigger) (ignoring conditions)

if you want to slow it just ad a wait command and put a trigger to turn of this trigger when typed a message

or if you want to make this one will work only when a player forex swears and lasts for some seconds just remove the event from the trigger above
and create another one like this:

    Events
        Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing -swear as An exact match
    Conditions
    Actions
        Trigger - Turn on Flood Trigger <gen>
        Wait 10.00 seconds
        Trigger - Turn off Flood Trigger <gen>

This will not work, the text will not be displayed as a chat message and will not be able to flood the screen

Cinimatic would make playing the game difficult, however i think i have found a way to do this by forcing a computer player to press, Enter, Space, Enter, however i do not know the UI Key for Enter

This will clear text messages, not chat messages

But there's a difference between the chat and the text messages that the game sends you. The chat is lower on the screen, and is in a smaller font. The two can overlap sometimes.
