Coloured text

If you have text poping up in your map somewhere, you might want to check this out.
Put these lines in front of your text to set its colour.


|c0000FF00###|r - green
|cFFFFcc00###|r - gold (I think, didnt check)
|c00FFFF00###|r - yellow
|cFFcc0000###|r - red
|cFFFFFFFF###|r - white
|c000000FF###|r - blue

Your text goes where the ### part is.

hey Darg put this in the frtrigger code it is nice to have and can u do this in the loading screen? and do u know the one for making the text size bigger or smaller? and speaking of loading screen is their a way to put the minimap on the loading screen when the loading screen is a campaign loading screen?

Da loading screen you can also use the WC3COLOUR program thats in the FAQ.... the one no one reads.

I did my own for my TD, but I only have 8 players. My pink could be adjusted a little.

no. as far as I'm aware it doesn't exist.

possibly yes, it may have to be done manually though. Like grabbing your minimap tga pic and using a picture editor to merge that in with the loading screen picture.

I also made my own war3 colour program in Java a month or two ago. Being totally biased (as I am), I think its the best colour proggie around. I never released it though cause it requires that you have the Java JRE installed, and I imagine not one frickin' person would wanna do that.

but if anyone here really wants it for whatever reason, I'm happy to pass it around. here's a screenie:

its free, its just that its 10-20mb or something and thats enough to turn people off. In fact, just the thought of having to download something else other than the proggie is probably enough to turn most people off.

wow so java helps u make ur own programs? i dwonloaded it and can u post ur color thing here i really like that too cause i m starting to work on colored text now that i only have to put in a builder (which will take a while cause i have 1 for each race and all of the buildings it makes r custom) and it is like a whole new race i almost did that once but then i decided that i didn't need it for the land of lore map so i didn't

yes! My advice to you is, if you want to start learning how to program, start with Java! Then move on to C or C++ once you feel you are comfortable with Java programming.

get the Java SDK if you want to program. Get the Java JRE if you just want to run Java programs.

There are tutorials on that website somewhere that will get you started, give me a yell if you can't find them. This link is great if you want to see examples of Java code:

Remember: warcraft 3 was mainly written in JASS, which stands for Java with ASSertions. Its general syntax is unfortunately nothing like Java itself, so don't go learning JASS thinking it will help you with Java because it won't.

btw I think the Java SDK has the Java JRE as well so you don't need to install both. Try uninstalling both and install only the Java SDK.

yea i did that and nothing differnt happened i would send u a screenshot but i don't know how to do that. i opened it and there r 4 programs: military game, notepad, draw, and swingset 2 app (i think, thats what i remeber)
