This tutorial is to make computer AI in custom maps, so computers will build, train, attack, and harvest resources, w/o the use of triggers, except to turn the AI on for the comp.

1. Open up the AI editor in your map editor, located near campaigne editor, object editor, etc

2. Choose the race the AI Comp will be (If it's a custom race, choose custom and go to the import at the bottom and then import the custom units, (in

your object editor, choose file and then choose export all and then name it.) Then you can name your AI.)

3. Select the options you want for your AI, check off the boxes to select them.

4. Next go to the heroes tab, and choose the first, second and third heroes, and there abilities. If they only have one or two heroes then you can select "none" for the second or third hero slots or even first if they dont havr any at all.

5. Next, go to the build tab, this is where to tell them what to build/train. The order goes from top to bottom. So they will get the units on the top, before they get the ones on the bottom. (so make sure you have the required buildings before you make them get something, ex. get an altar before a castle/fortress.) (also, if you dont tell them to get as many of the units as you place down for them, they wont get any extras, so make sure you tell them to train extra military units)

6. attack tab- this is the tab where you select attack waves for them. there is already a wave there where they attack with everything. you can delete that and make your own. to do that, right click in the top left box area and select "new attack wave" then go to the right and select the units you want them to attack with. after you select the units types, you gotta tell them how many to attack with, so click each one, then go to the top and type in the number of how many you want them to attack with.) Then you must make a condition, to do so right click on the unit type and then select "modify condition" and make your condition.

7. now at the box at the bottom-left, you have to select the initial time(seconds) before they first attack. then you have to add each wave to the attack list. right click in the box area and click "add wave" select the wave that you want. now you can select in time(seconds) how long untril after that wave until they attack again.

8. nOW save your AI and name it.

9. now open up the import manager in the world editor and import the AI.

10. make a trigger choose an event/condition, then do action
action:
Ai-Give player(color) a campaigne AI "AI" - "AI"= where you choose the AI you imported.

11. Test your AI in the map

12. enjoy

My first tutorial, please rate it.

Not much of a tutorial. Try to add Screenshots, Descriptions, and Examples. Also "lurn2spel" and use correct grammer. It is really hard to read. If English is your second language or you are not so good at it, there are online dictionaries for you to find the correct spelling. Also I am aware of Google's new free translator. Good Luck.

You just need to make conditions for the units that attack, what I do is
"integer" type of condition, there are only integer and boolean to choose from,
and then I do Units completed(footman) greater than or equal to (how ever many you asked them to attack with)
then that's all for the condition.

For the triggers, you can make any event you want, map int, time esp, a unit dies, etc, and then do the action- AI- Turn campaigne AI for for (player- choose the player) the AI-(the AI you imported)

Then the comp should build/attack with what you told them to do. goodluck

I know what you mean about screen shots and stuff, but I use another computer for warcraft and I don't know how to get screen shots and stuff from that computer, and then onto the website. And about the spelling, when I was doing the tutorial my key board was acting up and I don't usually type with proper grammar online.

Hi

Hi~Ricky

Its ok for the bases of a tutorial:) But i think that you need to expand on some subjects. For instance with the building/training part you should explain how to make one that works or maybe give an example of you making one.
Some people might not understand the attacking wave part so you should explain it in full detail. The same with the building/training part.:)

If you sort these things out im happy with it:D
