Tutorial Converting TFT map into Roc.

First thing you will need the program WinMPQ v1.64. You can convert TFT models and features.

Installing the program

Now after downloading it, open the Zip file:

After, enter the Zip file called 'Vbr4.zip' and install 'setup.exe':

After open the Zip file called 'RunPack3.zip' and install 'setup.exe':

Now you have finished installing the WinMPQ v1.64!

Converting the map
Open the 'WinMPQ.zip' and then open the 'WinMPQ.exe':

You will get this screen:

Now make a New Folder in Desktop, and a new map (RoC) with the same name as the map you want to convert (TFT). In the RoC map, make the same Scenario as the TFT map (Loading Screen, Map Name, Players, Makers, etc...(If you are using loading screen, you need to import the LoadingScreen.mdx and press in loading screen, to use the model, if it will save the new map as TFT then you are not able to use loading screen pictures)):

Now press 'Open', Change the file type to 'All Files', and pick the TFT map and open:

Now mark every thing that is there and press Extract:

Now pick the 'New Folder' you have made and press OK:

Good job! Now you only have left to import the map into the new RoC map.
Press Open again and choose the new map (RoC) and open it:

Mark everything and press Delete on your keyboard and press 'Yes':

Now press 'Add Folder' pick 'New Folder' and Press OK:

It will open a window called 'Folder name...', press OK:

Now it will show you this, Press 'New':

Now pick the new map (RoC) and press Save:

Congratulations! You have finished converting your map!
Now you can put it in your Warcraft III - Maps to host it in game!
After finishing converting the map, you should think of using Wc3MapOptimizer 4.0 to decrease the map's size, because most of the time, the convert make it really big.
You should also think of not using much imported models.

You didn't mention the fact that you could be using a model or skin that requires tft, sich as the Cryptlord, or Blood Mage. And please put the images in spoiler tags.

Will converting a map consume more map space?

Converting a map usualy makes the map bigger, which is unfortanetly not good. Takes more time to download in game and to load it.
The solution for it is to use map optimizer, it removes parts of the map which are unused for playing the map in warcraft but are used to edit it in world editor. Thats how it also protects it.
Before you convert, remember to make a backup!

Well, this is a tutorial for converting a Frozen Throne map to a Reign of Chaos map.
It is so you will be able to play a map in Reign of Chaos with The Frozen Throne features.

Actually, no, it wont make the map bigger if you did it right.

DONT DELETE FILES THEN ADD.
Thats a BIG mistake people do when doing this.

You REPLACE files. When you delete the files it just puts the files away in a hidden storage contained in the map. When you replace files it overwrites the files so that they arent placed away in a hidden space.

Also i wouldn't recommend trying this. if all maps were convertable blizzard wouldnt make any money for new games or updates. if you really want to play TFT maps so bad, save up some money then buy the game. Now i understand that some of you aren't allowed to buy games, well sorry but we cant help you with that.

The reason why some maps are impossible to convert is because you cant take something that roc doesnt have then try and make roc use it.

The above stated reasons mean that converting TFT maps into RoC ones is simply not practical.
