Currently this is how i detect cooldown:

Upon casting a spell a 'real' variable is set to the length of the cooldown then saved to a hashtable.
Every 0.25 seconds i run a trigger which subracts this value by 0.25 until it is less than or equal to 0.

Needs evaluation

There is no way to get the current cooldown time of a spell. You better do it like you are doing it now because that sounds fairly decent and rather effective.

i would do it with a timer by changing the real variable into a timer variable and starting a timer with the cooldown of the cast as the duration, or start it as 1000000 secs and detect how much time has elapsed, that way you dont need to start a different timer for EVERY ability
