Corpse Compulsion

This is pretty much a corpse explosion kinda spell but a bit more to it then that but anyway, for some reason at one time i could get ALL the corpses to explode but ever since then only one blows up now. Heres the trigger.... and the PEASANT has the spell that damages the people so he is spawned then casts the explosion and dies.

        Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    Conditions
        (Ability being cast) Equal to Corpse Compulsion 
    Actions
        Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units within 200.00 of (Position of (Casting unit)) matching (((Matching unit) is dead) Equal to True)) and do (Actions)
            Loop - Actions
                Unit - Create 1 Peasant for (Owner of (Casting unit)) at (Position of (Picked unit)) facing (Position of (Picked unit))
                Unit - Set Level of Corpse Explosion (Dummy) for (Last created unit) to (1 x (Level of Corpse Explosion  for (Casting unit)))
                Unit - Add a 0.01 second Generic expiration timer to (Last created unit)
                Unit - Order (Last created unit) to Night Elf Warden - Fan Of Knives

Then you can just make the peasant damage the entire area... instead of fan of knives lol

BUMP... so does no one know how to make it work for more than one corpse in the area? it still wont work, it only does one corpse.

Try ordering the unit to cast the spell before adding the experation timer.

This may sound like a crappy solution, but how about making the trigger run multiple times?

So what exactly are you compelling the corpses to do? And how? You giving them inspirational speeches to convince them to get up and get involved in the election process?

Really though, maybe the problem is with "last created unit." You may have a problem with the fact that your'e creating a bunch of peasants at once.

And haven't you posted 4 topics about this one ability so far?

no this is my 2nd, this topic was made a few days ago anyway... the other is somewhat different........

what are you talking about... elections? what?

well shouldnt it work anyway? you can do a aoe spell like that and it will work fine so why isnt this?

It should be creating a peasant for each corpse, casting a spell and remove.

i also tried this which did absolutely nothing

Heres an option, I see why you didnt want to damage area, because the more corpses the more dmg. But you could do something like

Make <Dummy> damage area of size (200 + (Number of units within 200 of target point of ability being cast matching (Matching unit is dead equal to true) x 25)) at (Target point of ability being cast) for (30 x (Number of units within 200 of target point of ability being cast matching (Matching unit is dead equal to true))) using attack type Chaos and damage type Normal

So its initial radius is 200, then its +25 for every corpse, and its 30xnumber of corpses damage. If its multiple levels then you just have to add something like x level of corpse complusion or whatever. Get it? Then you just need the effects and conditions (If no corpses dont follow-through... etc)


Or if you still want to make that fan-of-knives do something like...

Unit - Create (Count units - Number of units within 200 of (Target point of ability being cast matching (Matching unit is dead equal to true)) Dummy-Unit for (Owner of Casting unit) at (Target point of ability being cast)
Unit Ground - Order (Last created unit group*) to Warden - Fan of knives

*Last created unit group takes all units created with 1 creation triggers. Im sure it has a leak because it creates a unit group, but I dont know much about that.

As just i saw, i think the problem in first post would have been that there is order to create just 1 peasant, not few. Well i just might be wrong .Anyways, as author said, he fixed it himself
