for a mule char.. you need to have a different CD key right? I mean you cant run 2 chars from the same account simultaneously can ya? or even from diff accounts using the same key... I could use a mule, but not bad enough to go buy another copy of the game.
 
in the old D1 days we used to ask someone to hold a game open hehehe
i assume that in D2 for realm chars you need to copies/cdkeys and 2 machines
 
Actually, what they do is create a private game then drop the stuff, log out and log back on real quick with the new character, jump back in the game before it disappears and pick up the stuff.

Very dangerous, much safer to have someone help you hold your stuff while you get back on.
 
thanx.. got 4 machines.. but only 1 CD key :) bummer.. might check if my buddy still has his key.. thanx :)
 
Another method I use is to find a game that has been going for a while (usually with more than one person). Don't party with them, go to a place other than town, drop stuff, then start the player you want to give stuff to and pick up your stuff.

Make sure you remember the name of the game, and that second character can get to the point that you dropped stuff off. I usually get my mule as far as the Hord. cube. More room that way (:
 
I reall have to disargree with ya The helper, the way battle.net has been goin since 1.09 i wouldnt do it in a one person game. Cause i tried and realm went down. Just make a freind i always say and hopefull they wont run off with all ur stuff heh
 
either way you are taking a chance

the game was not really designed to let you carry around everything you pick up-- you are 'supposed' to make the tough decisions about what to drop to make room for something else
 
its not so I can accumulate loot.. just need to unload my main char so I can sell some of the other crap I find :) got like 4 free Squares open in Inv.. and cant carry a whole lot of anything to town

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
