crash getting worse?

I am running a non-overclocked 1800+(t-b) with 512 DDR ram, 128 Megs GF4MX AGP8X. My mainboard is ASUS A7N8X-D with the latest BIOS rev.
for the first time I installed BF it was ok until I chose my spawn point| it could load and I could even selct my class with spawn point and that was all. In the first 3 seconds it used to give "program will be shut down" in XP. I installed trhe latest Nforce2 and Detonator Drivers, ugraded DirectX from 8.1b to 9.0a
and now it does not even show the movies! It gives an error sound but I can't see the box telling me what' s wrong. I used the 1.31 patch, changed refresh rate but I could never see the main menu again.
What's wrong? I REALLY wanna play this game!

Yeah. I know wot u meen. I cant even see the main menu now.
It worked fine last night. Now this morning it just has no main menu. I reistalled with still no success.
I have the latest drivers and patch. What the hell r EA DOING???
If they make games like this so incompatible and fiddly, they should @ least have a better support instead of working on more expansions for it!
By the way, i have a
Athlon 2ghz
256 Ram
Gforce 2 Mx400 64mb
Win xp
Plenty of HD SPace (60+ Gig)

Can any 1 help???

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
