I know it sounds like an obvious question, but i was on Acehart's tutorial site (great work, and really useful) and it says to create a region inside a power circle for the Heroes Arena, and i don't know how to do it. can anyone help?

Layer
Regions

When the Region Palette comes up, you simply make the region by clicking and dragging with the mouse...Ta da, there's your region! :D

Huh... I don't know if i realy understand your question :D .
Just use the region palet and create a region on the centre of the power circle
(is that what you mean?)

There are two ways how to get to the region, 1 way is to goto veiw then goto region, you will see a grey box maybe, click it and make sure it turns green, then goto ur map and click and drag then you wil see a purple region.

I think it's kind of amusing on part of you guys. A while ago I thought Darg wrote a tutorial on something and it turns out it was Ryoko. There is a lot of misunderstanding here :D

Ryoko and/or thehelper are the masters here. They write the most tutorials and are administrators, not moderators, so they must have some connection with either the creation, or have been around since near the beginning of the site :D:D:D

does Ryoko work for Blizzard, or is he just pumped up on info. cheers for all your replies, i didn't realise there was a region palette

:o how do you loop actions in a trigger. sorry to keep asking simple questions, but
when i'm creating a heroes arena, it says to make a trigger to create a wisp and one of the actions is to loop actions, and it doesn't seem to be working on mine.

Thanks :o

Do you have TFT? If you don't, then you can't. Otherwise, click "Pick every...(multiple actions)".

Actually, I believe Darg was here first. He's done a lot too, but Ryoko's done most of the tutorials (which are awesome :D ). Also, I don't believe Ryoko works for Blizzard (if he does then I'm really out of it); he's just "really pumped up on info", as you say. He's not obligated to be here; just doing us all a favor. Many thanks. :D :D :D

I think AceHart deserves much credit. He is a very active in answering many difficulty questions (ability questions anyone?)

Making Regions in TFT or RoC

1. Open your map in WE (this is the Terrain Editor)
2. Press the "R" key on your keyboard
3. The "Tool Palette" will indicate below it "Region Palette"
4. The Grey Box must be pressed IN (it turn Green when pressed) to create a region.
5. Holding down Left Mouse key, drag cursor across desired Region area.
6. Resize Region and Move it by FIRST Pressing Green Box. When it is Grey again, you can either Move the Region (drag region center) or Resize it (drag edge or corner).
7. Name your Region by double-clicking on it to Edit.
8. Region colors are helpful when visually identifying what they do (e.g., trigger unit creation, trigger an order, trigger a death, etc.).

RoC is Reign of Chaos, and TFT is Frozen Throne.

Of course he does. :) All of the moderators do (that's why they're moderators :P ), I was just pointing out that Darg was here first, that's all. :) Also, there are many, many others that deserve credit for helping; the list goes on and on (just goes to show what an awesome community this is :D :D :D ).

LOL - Thats why hes a mod.

Which is a good time to remind people, were never OBLIGATED to do anything either :)

Should be no confusion. Heres the setup

I made the site, and added most the tutorials first.

Other people have jumped in, put time and effort into submitting more tutorials, to help the community.

If you really wanna know, the author is on the top of every tutorial.

So no, not ALL tutorials are one person. Its community.

(Sorry, had to :D)

    LOL! A tweak job!

this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I changed the settings a bit.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Narrowed it to 7 days for the half-life and set views to 0 weight.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I dont think Trending would work for this forum it would be better to just have the last 5 posts from anywhere
  • Ghan Ghan:
Probably will have to give it some time to update.
  • Ghan Ghan:
I'm guessing it is not retroactive.

One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs
  • Ghan Ghan:
    I've seen that as well.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
  • The Helper The Helper:

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
