When a unit is killed that has the 'Reincarnation' ability, like an Ancient Wendigo, it revives automatically, and then when it is killed again, it never respawns. This is been a problem in my map for years now.
When a unit is killed and its corpse is raised with the 'Animate Dead' spell, it never respawns.
When a unit has 'Charm' cast upon it, it never respawns.
When a unit has 'Doom' cast upon it, it never respawns.
You must understand, I want any unit that is targeted with any of these abilities to respawn in its original starting location. I do not want the creature to respawn where it dies. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how I can fix these problems.
Also, I have used a doodad unit image as a model file for one of my structures. For example, I have given the Chimera Roost structure the model file of a 'Sun Well' doodad, so that it now looks like a Sun Well instead of a Chimera Roost. The problem that this causes is that for some reason, spell animations can no longer activate when they are supposed to take effect on this structure.
For example, if a player casts the 'Starfall' ability and the Sun Well structure is within the affected area, it will take damage, but the animation which depicts a glowing ball of light cascading down on the Sun Well cannot be seen. The same thing happens when 'Monsoon' is cast on the Sun Well. The Sun Well takes damage, but there is no lightning bolt animation striking down on the Sun Well.
How can I fix this?
