Critical Error

Well I've been making a LOAP map for quite some time but my problem is whenever I test or try to play the map it loads about 3 quarters through then says...

This Application has encountered a critical error:

FATAL ERROR!

Does anyone have a clue how I can fix this? Should I unistall and reinstall WC3?

No. u shouldn't reinstall WAR3!!! What's a LAOP map?? Oh these stuff happen usually stuff to do with Triggers

Well for starters. LOAP stands for Life of a Peasant, try playing one on B.Net. They're pretty fun. And second I tried deleting all my triggers and still...I don't know if this matters but I have alot of imported models.

I don't think triggers have anything to do with it (hope you saved them!). This usually happens when Warcraft can't recognize an icon. When does it happen specifically?

Well when I click test map and WC3 loads up. Then it goes to the loading screen and the bar goes up about three quarters then that pops up.

try to just start warcraft 3 and play ur map from Single Player>Custom Game. i've heard it 1000000000 times to NEVER USE TEST MAP IN THE EDITOR!!! ITS GAY!!!

Heh the problem is something inside warcraft III that CANNOT happen period. Like let's say you made a town hall spawn near a gold mine when you pick a unit. If the gold mine and town hall are to close together then the game will terminate. These problems occur alot in my maps and I recommend spending a few minutes closely examining your map for any errors such as that. If it is during map initilization then check everything that happens during map initilization. Note map initilization is when the game is loading not when the game really starts. This is why some things such as leaderboards cannot be created during map initilization. Also testing your map through world editor is not thaat bad only if you have specific things you need done like setting computers or your victory/defeat conditions rely on another player being present. Note, Icons have NOTHING to do with this error. If it can't recognize an icon it will simply make it a white blank.

First 3/4 are the WC3 engine and information.

Last 1/4 is typically your map (huge sizes may vary).

I have had this error before resently. I have fixed the error by deleting a unite, first i thought it was because of its model file being a Rocket Missile then later i found it was the ability it had a modified version of engineering upgrade. it may be because the unites max move speed is capped plus the ability im not sure but either way i deleted it and now it works. no more error when loading the map
