Custom ability problem - entangling roots

I've made a custom ability based on entangling roots, and despite having the 'air' target flag set, it still won't allow me to target air units with it!

What's up with that?


Additionally, if anyone knows why the editor won't allow me to set a cooldown time for reincarnation (as in, the time that passed by from the death of the unit, to the rebirth), let me know as well. I've made it a 3 level spell, but when i try and change the variable from 0, it won't let me click on 'ok'.. it's greyed out.

A side note, the unit that i'm targeting for my entangling roots problem, is set to "combat- targeted as - ground" and it STILL won't work.

It's technically not even a air unit.

In game, it claims that i "must target a ground unit"


Help.

Did you forget to...

change the "Targets Allowed" field to include AIR, in the new ability?

i dont know what is happening i also made a thing that is like that an ability that normally attacks GROUND and i put there on AIR and my ability worked Look more in the ability things ull find out what happened

I also did the same thing and it worked.i set that target thing on air Also and it worked in test i really dont know what u made worong look more in the things there and change things maybe youll find out!!!

I just made the following ability again to test it, and it still doesn't work.

new ability -> base entangling roots -> stats: targets allowed -> air, ground, enemy, netural, organic.

In game, it does NOT allow air targeting. The only thing i changed from the original ability was to add the 'air' target for the spell's allowed targets.

Now, if you can make the exact same thing and it works, then my WE must be screwed up. Try it /exactly/ as i have.

k ill try it i dont think i made it EXACTLY like u said but ill try again it will take a little time but... i think i made it using more things and u didnt put soming or... dunno

i did exactly as you said... same thing happend... must target a ground unit, well.... you could try using Aerial Shackles it works on air units.... or just change all air units' "targeted as" to ground

Yea, i used shackels instead. Excet now i have to stand there to use the ability fully, and the opponent can't cast spells. Oh well.. trade off.

Additionally, by setting the "allow negative numbers" in the prefs, i was able to fix the reincarnation cooldown to something other than 0. That number doesn't sit pretty with WE.
