Well, for Halloween, i wanted to be Mick Thompson. But, unfortunatley, my mom, always having to be in charge (I know parents are supposed to) and always be right, told me to wait until October to get it, when i wanted to get it in September, when it was $30, since i knew it would go up closer to Halloween.
I was correct, the masks now being $100+.

So, now that she ruined any hopes of that coming to light, i decided to be Corey Taylor, the Singer of Slipknot.

Now, the mask isnt all that great without his wig that he wears with it (I'm talking about the Subliminal Verses mask, the All hope is gone one goes for $150, And Slipknot/IOWA goes for $300+ (holy shit), this one goes for $35)

Now getting the mask is easy, but the wig isnt sold, since here is what it looks like:

Obviously your not gonna find half blue half red hair, with partial purple in the middle.

Now, my question, how would you change the color of a wig to such needs?

My assumption is take a blond wig, and dye it would something, or put it in colored water, one half at a time, but i'll need input on this because those are just assumptions.

Gracias in advance ;)

Depends on what it's made out of. If it's plastic fiber string things then I would suggest you spray paint it. Best bet would be to grow your hair out or something and get it dyed quickly. Why would you want to look like that anyway, even on Halloween? Wouldn't you be much happier being a ghost? Or a Jehovah's Witness?

There's spray paint for the hair...
I suggest a white wig though...

They make spray paint for plastic hair?

Why don't you just go get some extensions? That's what my fiance does when she wants longer hair. Or she used to until I made her stop.

Fail and fail.

Yes. Excellent, its perfect, just pick them at a party store, right?

They do.

Find some red blue and purple extensions of that much hair in that kind of style and texture ;)

And why would you make her stop if she wanted to do that? Its not hurting anyone?

You could probably find some hair paints or something at a Ricky's if you have those stores around your area.

Varine might have a good point, the sprays i've seen are for normal hair, but chance are it might work for wigs too. I've seen them at a few spots, like a 99cents store, party store would probably have some, but maybe try going to Walmart or Target. Extensions would be too expensive, and hard to find in time for the wanted colors. My cousin bought red extensions (it was pretty much a wig kind of) for about 50 dollars. It was almost two meters though :p and it said it was natural hair.

I didn't like it. And it's bad for your head. And since I'm paying for her house and college she owes me. Although she probably does it anyway since I don't live with her anymore and can't yell at her about it.

Anyway, I don't know how long your hair is but I would say the easiest thing would probably be to just dye yours since wigs are usually made out of plastic and I doubt hairspray paint sticks to that very well, and if it does it'll get it all stuck together.

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
