custom loading screen

ok, i've tried making a loading screen from here

and it did work...but the graphics were really crappy, i remember they had an earlier tutorial on how to do this when you cut the image into 4 sections if anyone remembers how to do it cuold you please tell me

You probably need to have a higher quality when exporting to BLP. If this does not help your problem, could you upload a screenshot of the loading screen so I can see your quality, and that might help me decide where the quality downgrade is happening (By seeing how bad the quality is)

look in the tutorial at this site, it shows a real easy way to do it with no cutting it into 4 parts or anything.

i did do it at its highest quality 100% and its still doesn't look good

What quality percent did you export it as. I would suggest 80% without crappying up the drawing. Or you got the measurements wrong because when its imported into WE its actually stretching the image.

ugh, its because when i open it in wc3 image extractor it all the golden parts turns all purpley i don't know why if anyone cuold tell me that would be nice
or it would be even nicer if any of you could open and extract the picture it into a blp for me
and at first i did it at 75% and then i tried 100% it only made a bit of a difference just in quality, not color

I won't pretend to be an expert on this, but I think you made a few messups.
The image needs to be 512x512 and TarGA in order for Wc3Image Extractor to deal with it properly. I tested it and I got it to work for you.

Just remember to rename it to FullScreen.blp when you import it, don't forget the loading mdx, put both files directly in the map (Check the "Use Custom Path" box and remove the warcraft3imported part) and change the loading screen to custom and you should be okay.

I wish I could get the software to convert images...
