D2: LoD Password Bug

ok, i bought D2: LoD and it was working fine till last night when i tried to get on, i entered my password and it said Login Error, said my password was incorrect so i called my friend who also had Xpac and he was having the same problem, we figured it was b.net and we waited awhile and tried again a few hours later, and still the same problem, so i was really ticked off and decided to play SC, and i logged in with my D2X account and it worked, so i hopped back on D2X and logged in but said my password was incorrect, then my friend re-installed his D2X and he was able to log in, so i tried re-installing mine but it is still giving me that error, but i can log into SC with the same account, anyone have any clue why this is? also i can login on his comp, i think it has to do with a bug in D2X
any help would be very much appreciated.

is this a new account, or have you changed the password recently?

sometimes it takes a while for the different servers to recognize a new password (and the Asia servers are permanently separated from the US and Europe servers)

just a guess...
