D2 Play Disc?

Ok here it goes, its a long one, and I don't know what the hell the problem is. First off, I bought d2 a while after it came out, hoping most technical issues would have been resolved. However, this obviously was not the case, as many patches have been released since. Regardless, My computer specs are as follows, to ease with solving my problem: 500Mhz Celeron, 192 MB RAM, 30gb uata100 7200rpm hdd, voodoo4 4500 pci, soundblaster live value, and a kenwood 42x true-x cd rom drive on win98se with cable internet access.

The problem most likely lies within my cdrom drive, but I am not sure. Prior to downloading the most recent drivers, patches/firmware updates for all of my hardware/software, I was able to install diablo 2. However, after doing so, I am unable to install diablo 2 anymore. When I attempt to install it, the progress bar reaches the second block of d2char.mpq and then stops. I am unable to exit the installer without ctrl+alt+del. Just as well, whenever I log on to battle.net, my cd drive reads the d2 play disc for approximately 2+ minutes and then finally loads the chatroom. After that, whenever I attempt to join/create a game, the loading screen pops up and then my drive reads the cd for approximately one minute. Consequently, a black screen pops up and proceeds to tell me that my "...connection has been interrupted", though I doubt that it has. Can any of you out there offer me any sort of technical advice/help. I am unable to figure this one out by myself, thanks in advance for any suggestions.
 
I suggest an email to [email protected] telling them exactly what you have told us here. I know there were issues with the Kenwood drives but I thought the patches fixed that. Of course, what good is a patch if you cannot even install the game

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

    The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.

    That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.

    Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
