Alright, is there any explination on these three Values found on units?

Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Base
Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Number of Dice
Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Sides Per Dice

and maybe even...

Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Factor - Medium
Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Factor - Small
Combat - Attack 1 - Loss Factor

Minimum damage = Base + NumberDice
Maximum damage = Base + NumberDice * Sides

The medium and small factors are used for area damage, close and as far as it goes.

Loss factors is used in "jumping shot" abilities.
Shots that hit one unit, then go on to the next, then go on to the next...
Every jump does less damage.

Here's a complete list btw:

Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Base
The base damge of the unit
Master_Saji said:
Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Number of Dice
The number of dices rolled to calulate the real damage
Master_Saji said:
Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Sides Per Dice
The number of sides on each dice

A little explanation:
A unit has base damage 10. It has 1 dice and 6 sides.
In game it will stand that the damage is 11 - 16.
The formula is
Lowest: Base damage + number of dices
Highest: Base damage + number of dices * number of sides

This way you can alter the way damage is dealt by a unit.
For example the chanse to get 6 on a 6 sided dice is higher than get 6 with two 3 sided dices
1/6 against 1/9
This is maybe not very usefull in game ^^

Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Factor - Medium
Only used by splash damage. The factor for the medium dmage area.
For example if it is 0.9 it deals only 90% of the damage in the full damage area
Master_Saji said:
Combat - Attack 1 - Damage Factor - Small
Same as above but for the small damage area

Combat - Attack 1 - Loss Factor
This has to do with the (Line) damage, it is how how much damage is lost (or gained if bigger than 1) from target 1 to target 2, from target 2 to target 3 ect.

There is a (not completed) tutorial with all vaules in the unit editor here

So with the damage factor-medium and the damage factor-small fields, you can make an attack do more damage on the outside of the AOE than the middle? Neat.

I've been wondering about the base damage also, because the base damage of every hero is 0. That makes no sense to me. Why is that?

Heroes "work" with Strength, Agility and Intelligence.
A Hero's damage would mostly depend on his strength.
And, usually, they start with slightly more than 0 strength...

That said, if you want a Hero that starts with rather high damage but without needing to start with high stats,
you can set his base damage to something other than 0.

Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    That sounds like an adventure.
  • The Helper The Helper:
400 users all online all looking at latest content
  • The Helper The Helper:
I wonder how all these bots that sit on the lastest content page get passed anubis or maybe they did not but they are just registering on whos online
  • The Helper The Helper:
showing up on whos online not registration
  • Ghan Ghan:
The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.
  • Ghan Ghan:
That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I remember the whole javascript thing, question - how many real people disable that?
  • The Helper The Helper:
Hell I guess I could go back on the stats to know that - we probably capture that and we know the before and after
  • Ghan Ghan:
Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
  • Ghan Ghan:
The internet is broken without it.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Bot readable, not human usable.
  • The Helper The Helper:
    got it
