So... next expansion for WH40k Dawn of War 2 - is there any interest in this?

Sounds quite promising - just got through completing the original and expansion campaigns in coop, so I'm very pleased to see the addition of 6 (I think) new campaigns with a reasonable amount of content each (~15 missions each, from what I've heard)

There are a number of pre-order editions (I'm not sure if it's pre-orders only, I must try and confirm that), each of which will grant 4 pieces of Wargear and some artwork for your chosen race - the Tyranid pack is exclusive to the THQ website (EU/US) will have the Tyranid pack available, whereas the Ork pack will be exclusive to Steam (link). The Collector's Edition (US, I can't find an equivalent EU store link) contains the bonus Wargear for all 6 races, along with the artwork

From what I can tell, any of the bonus Wargear packs will be available as DLC upon release.

Aside from the campaigns, I hope they flesh out The Last Stand mode with a few more commander choices - it was pretty awesome, but it feels so constrained with only 1 commander per race :(

In my opinion, the WH40K series was always one of the best RTS's out there. Like their concepts and graphics. I remember the first one, I think it was. I loved how (more) realistic it was than a lot of other RTS's, with the target and aiming system, and all the knock back and movement things. o_O

I just didn't keep up with it, but it's great.

Ye, Relic did a pretty amazing job with Dawn of War IMO in terms of making the combat really... brutal, for want of a better word. And considering the zealous, bloodthirsty and just plain crazy attitude that each faction had towards the others ("Cleanse, purge, KILL!" ftw :D), it makes the DoW games just feel so good.

Is this one a base-building one? Because I think in one of the more recent ones, I don't know if it was just for one of them, but they no longer had players build bases. Like instead it was more about the capture points and relics, and you had very few buildings, so it focused more on spawning. In the original Dawn of War I remember actually building huge bases, which I prefer more. Oh dis brings back memories.

    I have a GIF though

In the GIF, I've configured it so the lower the "Main Value" is, the better. I had to compress it pretty far down though.

And this is the thread with the video that shows the wall clip. https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/23453

Hmm, about the Headline News, I noticed threads are being moved into the subforum (Health News, Environmental News, etc.). When that happens, the TH Forum Home page loses the articles, and instead would show old articles posted 1 or 2 weeks ago.
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
What do we do with the Home page?
  • Ghan Ghan:
I added those forums to the filter for that widget.

    Oh nice. They're back. Thanks.
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Now I think it makes more sense for me to put news in their own subforums, without worry.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Awesome Ghan thanks! I was purposely not moving the first 15 news articles in Headline news to the different subforums but I guess I don't have to do that now?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Question: Is there a way to remove thread redirects? It creates a copy of the moved thread and takes up space, and I am leaning towards wanting to remove them in the Headline News. But if they have an expiration date, I guess I'm fine with it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
If you move a thread please leave a permanent redirect. You can delete any redirects after 6 months. The redirects are left to help Search Engines find the moved content.
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
What if you move the permanent redirect, not the thread?
  • The Helper The Helper:
I think that works but I have not messed with it. You can delete redirects though if you have to that will not delete the original thread
  • The Helper The Helper:
if a redirect ends up in the same forum as the post it goes to though I think the redirect drops or fails or something but they are not bugged out and when you are working on an indirect the original post is safe.
