People can get really petty when you kill their kids. Enough to go out and kill 20 other people's kids.

What could you possibly do to someone that pushes them so far as to kill 20 children? I don't think you can put the blame on others for this one.

Well, using a Death Note on a person and put all the blames on that person is plausible.

I just don't really see that happening. I doubt you could find records of something like that anywhere through history. Perhaps the parent of a murdered child would go after said child's murderer, killing the murderer's children in vengeance, but to go on a random child killing spree after your own kid was killed? I just don't see it, man.

Making this a gun control issue is awful.

If the man wanted to mass murder children, he was going to be able to do it, whether it was with guns or with knives.

The publicizing of these incidents is what drives people to do it. Nobody remembers the names of the victims. Everybody remembers the name of the killer. The press mass-releases his name and shows his portrait for everybody in the world to see. Rather than die a loser, he dies a famous villain.

We are the true crime.

Less guns do mean "less deaths!" Just saying.
Not at all?
What do you think? If guns were illegal that nobody could get his hands on them?
You know that hard drugs are illegal right? But there are still plenty of them being consumed every day.

I am not "pro" guns here, personally i dont think guns should be sold in public, but i dont think that stricter gun control would have prevented this massacre. Not at all.

If we weren't allowed to have guns, then the law-abiding citizens would be almost defenseless against criminals... I mean, they're criminals. They don't obey laws. They'd still have guns, and they're the ones we're worried about, right? So how would taking guns from the people that use them properly help?

Yes. But carrying a bomb, easily done?
Of course. What do you think how much it weights?
Dont you ever watch tv? The terrorists in the middle west always do this, suicide bomb themselfs into innocent bystanders.
Its even easier then trying to shoot them.
They cant run away, they dont know it is going to happen until its too late.

Suicide bombers are mostly "brainwashed" to die as suicide bombers.

Thats not an arguement.
What do you think is the difference between suicide bombers and people who run amok?
You can say both of them are misguided or crazy or whatever you want. But they will effectively kill people and you can not stop them.

This would have been easily rectified if the teachers were allowed to carry guns.

I'm still in favor of having more police officers working in schools instead of out on the streets rectifying traffic violations, making peoples' lives more difficult.

Uhh no? Police in schools is a shitty deal. Where else are they going to sell weed? Where will freshmen go to get high before class if not the back of the school? Plus I don't like police, they don't do a very good job. And they're narcissistic dicks.

Yes, but criminals don't like the narcissistic police either and will shy away, knowing that there are a bunch of them in a building.

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
