Death Pulse from Dota?

How would I make an area of effect spell off my hero like death pulse in dota, except just have it damage buildings? I didnt see a spell called death pulse in the editor.

Dude, there is no % pulse" spell, it is a custom spell in dota, im guessing. (I dont play dota) To make an area of effect spell, you must find an area of effect spell that is already done like dispel by priest. Then edit those statistics.

Hmmm ...

Simple

Take an AoE damage spell in the object editor [there are tons; Rain of Fire, Blizzard, Earthquake, the Goblin Tinkerer's Missle Salvo or whatever], go to the 'targets allowed' section and uncheck all but buildings, if you want it to only damage buildings, or check ground and buildings, to have it damage ground units too.

Go to targets not allowed and check friendly and self so it won't hurt allies or yourself (optional >D)

Now change the art to whatever you want.

Note that if you use Blizzard as a base, the damage will come in intervals/waves, and if you use Missle Whatever, all the damage should come at once. Flame Strike might also be good.

its a easy ability

make an ability based on fan of knifes -
now u need change some things
HotKey Normal and Learn to what ever u want

set the
Art-missile Art to (what ever u want to move to building) like in death pulse its death tower.
set the
Art-Effect to (the same as Missile Art)
now...
as u want only building u set
Target allowed - "sctruture"
set Art Missile Speed "1100"
How many levels u want ?
u just set Stats Levels To how many u need

Done now u have the same as Death Pulse
( i used trigger but it wont be nessecary if u only want to give sctrure damage beacuse death heal friends so u will need a trigger to do this have fun

If you only want it to damage buildings, then yeah a modded FoK is what you want.

If you want it to heal, then here's how.

Make x levels of death coil, set the damage and heal approriately, set targets allowed appropriately.

Create a dummycaster.
Create a spell based off BattleRoar (Heroes)
Insert following trigger

Events-
Unit starts the effect of an ability
Conditions
Ability being cast = Death Pulse
Actions
If-
Level of Death Pulse for triggering unit = 1
Then-
Pick every unit within x range of triggering unit matching matching unit is an enemy of owning player of triggering unit
Create a dummy caster at position of triggering unit facing default building degrees.
Add death coil (1) to last created unit
Learn death coil (1) for last created unit
Order last created unit to undead death knight - death coil picked unit
Add a x second expiration timer to last created unit
Else-
Do nuts.
Repeat for every level, replace the (1) with the second death coil you made etcetc.

lol 100% wrong dude death pulse is based on fan of knifes with -x damage to heal and why make for every lvl? just use unit - set lvl of ability to last creat unit
and also it will creat a unit on floor its totaly wrong...
