Demon Hunter Problem

Hi , I wanted to change the ability Rain of Chaos so that it rains another unit instead of the Infernal... The target unit I wanted is a morphed Demon Hunter...that is, the old one seen in Rain Of Chaos. However, I can not get this to work because when I create the target unit, even with the correct modelfile, the spell produces the new Illidan Morphed seen in FTF. Any ideas ? Thanks a lot.

Have you tried editing the infernal? its name and model file?

Editing Infernal model file doesnt help

Hi, I tried editing infernal's modelfile. Unless Im mistaken, changing the model file of the INfernal to Demon HUnter (Demon Form) does not help. Further, even copying the default unit (Demon Hunter Demon Form) found in the standard nightelves special categories doesnt work either. <-- By this, I mean after copying the unit and pasting it, placing this new unit in the map will not give me a morphed demon, it gives me the unmorphed Illidan.

You know i tryed this also but to make a hero it was always the standard Demon Hunter and never the actual demon

there's an upgrade field on the object editor, i dont know what to type but i think typing in there might help when you change the model to DH .

If i got it right, the "standard" demon hunter model is showing. This can be fixed by adding "Alernate" in the "Art - Required Animation Names" field in the Unit Editor.

Got It

Ok that fixes it. The default "Art-Required animation names" is set to alternateex. Once that is changed to alternate, the Demon shows up.

Hmm.. I think there is a field by the name of something like 'Art - Extra Versions' or 'Art - Model - Extra Versions' make sure it doesnt have TFT checked in there. and check the RoC box.
