You can use C++ in a chat room but then you need to use sockets.

Well, after two months, I'd like to say I've been working really hard to make a totally revamped game, but I really haven't. It's updated to version 2.6.5; the bugs should be fixed, and if they aren't please let me know. I would still like to improve this game, so please post any and all feedback you have. Thanks

That's not possible if you have the latest version. Typing m and then 2 will result in an error if you have no muffins. Since you don't start with any muffins, you should receive an error.

Strange Bug. (SS + Text)

Cheesy: 54 cookies; 0 muffins; 0 pies; 0 cakes
CER: 1 cookies = 1 muffin | 2 muffins = 1 pie | 0.25 pies = 1 cake
Cheesy, which stock would you like to trade?
Enter c for Cookies; m for Muffins; p for Pies; a for Cakes
c
How much of the stock would you like to trade? (Don't trade more than you have!)
54
You have entered an incorrect value. Please try again.

Other than the few bugs here and there, it's a pretty addicting game! The hotkeys for the stocks can be a bit confusing at time, and I don't really understand what it means when the CER values turn green or red.

--------------------------------------------
[edit]

Bug #2!

The exchange rate for pies to cakes is staying the same, but all the others are changing.
I refreshed the exchange rate about 20-30 times. (enter c, then 0).

Cheesy: 0 cookies; 0 muffins; 0 pies; 216 cakes
CER: 6 cookies = 1 muffin | 8 muffins = 1 pie | 0.25 pies = 1 cake
Cheesy, which stock would you like to trade?
Enter c for Cookies; m for Muffins; p for Pies; a for Cakes

Also, a suggestion. Rather than having to select a stock THEN enter zero, why not just enter 0 for the stock type and skip the rest?

Bug #1: I have run into that a few times myself. Just try entering 53 or 52 and it should clear up.

Bug #2: You need to do some trading with cakes or pies to get it to change.

The CER value turns green or red when the "stock" goes up or down (or at least it's supposed to). It doesn't really mean anything.

Another bug. (Small). No SS required.
The exchange rate for P to A is -> 0.25 pies = 1 cake. However when I traded 1 cake ino pies, I should have recieved 0.25 pies, but I got 4 of them. :p

[edit]
Not a small bug. Because the exchange rate is never changing for Pies to Cakes, (Yes I traded with them and they are the same) mixing with my most recent bug post, I have infinite stocks because I can just trade them back and forth. :p

[edit2]

ANOTHER bug. :)P)
I traded 2800 cakes into pie stocks and it crashed.

[edit3]

Bug again. (Small) When the exchange rate for a stock does not change, it always turns to green. You should change it to blue or something if it does not change.

[edit4]

ANOTHER bug. :)P)
I traded 2800 cakes into pie stocks and it crashed.

Happened again. Whenever you change fairly large amounts. (For example, 7850 pies into cookies, CER = 10 cookies = 1 pie.)

[edit4.5]

For the above "bug", may this be maybe that I'm just reaching the set victory stock limit? If so, you should add an ending screen with stats or something.

Very nice, one more suggestion: When choosing how many stocks to trade, maybe press 'a' for all? It can get annoying typing the exact number.

They are pretty much disposable. I have shitty nozzles though, and I don't think these were designed for how hot I've run them
  • Varine Varine:
I tried to extract it but the thing is pretty stuck. Idk what else I can use this for
  • Varine Varine:
I'll throw it into my scrap stuff box, I'm sure can be used for something
  • Varine Varine:
I have spare parts for like, everything BUT that block lol. Oh well, I'll print this shit next week I guess. Hopefully it fits
  • Varine Varine:
I see that, despite your insistence to the contrary, we are becoming a recipe website
  • Varine Varine:
    Which is unique I guess.
  • The Helper The Helper:
Actually I was just playing with having some kind of mention of the food forum and recipes on the main page to test and see if it would engage some of those people to post something. It is just weird to get so much traffic and no engagement
  • The Helper The Helper:
So what it really is me trying to implement some kind of better site navigation not change the whole theme of the site
  • Varine Varine:
How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air
