diablo Error

The Problem I am having is some sort of Error, My d2 will start up fin but wheni try to join a game it takes me to the loading window and right as it is about tio join the game, it locks up and i can hear the error chime, then i have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to exit out of it. But this problem does not lock up my computer. THis problem can also occur in the middle of a game, or even when i am in a channel. Please help me fix this problem a.s.a.p. Thx alot

P.S. Will it fix the problem if i reformat my Computer, I really want to avoid this method.:D

first, thehelper why do you alwasy say that bump thingy?

second, ummmmmmmm all i can say is reinstall the game for one, scan disk for two, and free up some ram by using http://www.yourwaresolutions.com/ it's free!
 
Hmm--several things could cause this.

List your comp specs---os,motherboard, ram ,vid card, sound card, and ect.
List your harddrives and any partitions, also the amount of space left on each.

Also open your system information and list your irq's and the number they are listed under.

P3 866Mhz
319Mb SD Ram
Intel Intergraded Graphics (16mb)
Windows ME

thats about all, And i would like to know that if i where to reformat my computer, would that be a quicker way to fix it? but if there is a way to fix this problem without reformating plz help me... Thx
 
go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>system information>hardware>irq

Copy down the irq list and post it here.
I want to see if there is an irq conflict.

I would also try to update the video drivers.
 
first, thehelper why do you alwasy say that bump thingy?

he explains what bump means in his bump post.

"bump - means to move message to the top of the forum."

if he sees a problem that has not been solved he post the bump post to it to make the problem go back to the top of the current page.

Otherwise because of the number of new problems that get posted to this forum some unresolved problems might end up on pages 2, 3, 4, or 5, etc of this site.
 
Ok well for Irq's its says everything is OK.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
