I just installed Diablo II and went straight for the Battle.net. The only realm it lets me connect to is FSGS. My friend has a lot more realms (US west, East, Asia, yadda yadda). Any suggestions?
If you do not know what you are doing with computers I suggest you have someone else do this for you cause messing with your registry can really mess up your computer.
Start
Run
Regedit
(in the left window open the following folders
open HKEY_CURRECNT_USER
OPEN Software
open Battle.net
open Configuration
(in the right window)
open the Server List and delete all the servers and click OK.
(in the left window open the following folders
open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

open Battle.net

open the Server List and delete all the servers and click on OK.
you've obviously downloaded some kind of unofficial patch, hack or program to let you connect to unofficial servers (this may have been for Starcraft)
follow t'kron's instructions again, except delete the entire "battle.net" keys [not just the configuration one under it, but the whole battle.net 'folder']
I was having the same problem with my Starcraft and for the longest time didn't know how to fix it. I had tried everything I could think of and happened to stumble onto this. Thanx for the help, but you need to make it more findable if you know what I mean.
yes you did (or someone else on your computer did)... it may have been a program to get you onto "alternate" servers for Starcraft or something-- it uses the same registry entries
first of all... i bought the game installed it an was about to play on bnet. didnt work.
2. i have never had starcraft installed.
3. im the only one that uses this computer.
4. my computer knowledge is pretty high and i know what i install and do not install.
5. yes i downloaded a server changer.. the official from blizzards homepage.. after it didnt work after the first time....
i will try to delete the regestry post an some ppl got it to work after this..
