Diablo III Facebook updates.

This is the thread in which I will be posting the bonus content that blizzard posts on DiabloIII's Facebook fan page.

Why ? Not everyone has facebook, has liked DIII on face book, and the ones who have might not be looking at it.

Treasure Seeker by Vic Lee. He'll randomly and rarely appear in dungeons, but when he does you'll want to beat the candy out of him as he'll drop progressively better loot with each hit. Don't let him escape!

Nice to know that blizzard are putting random events, esp well thought out like this one. We want to see more of this blizz ;]

Hm... when the first screenshots were out, most of us (me as well at that time) went ragecopter on blizzard for the DIII diablo interpretation. To make it short- DIII had cartoony grafics and we thought it will loose it's dark, depressing, christanity vs satanic feeling(mood)

This convinsed me that it won't be so. Act 2 in DII was.. .well very bright, everything exept the swear levels and the tombs was TOO BRIGHT. Not that it wasn't cool, just the follow up wasn;t as great as in act 1 or 3. (Note: Act 2 is my fav act, I am a succa for tombs ? )

And look, we have open space, but the mood in this screen shot is dark and depressing. Score !

Blue witch doctor has failed to keep red barbarian at a distance, and with no pets and unknown escape skills, may pay the price.

nice to know that Blizz are gonna make the PVP a core element of DIII. The details in this ss are awesome as always, the arena itself, from what we can see isn't something too original- Points for cover, few open areas... kinda like a underdevepoled maze, cool nontheless.

Well, I was hoping for something more epic of an artwork but as long as it is exclusive I will take it.

Just a note: this is the update for 850K. This means to things-
1 there are 6 more updates left
2 after the page has 1 million views I am expecting something big, a trailer, an artwork set or someting big. Not the beta itself since blizzard aren't gonna release it until it is 100% done, but something biger than the usuall artwork/screenshot we

While this ... thing resembles the Khazra, its form is twisted and distorted. It would only be one of many instances where the denizens of Sanctuary have been risen or reformed for demonic purposes

This is awesome. Thanks for doing this (I don't have a facebook). That screen shot is simply badass. The graphics look good and (like you said) not as cartoony as many people are still whining about. OMG I want to play this game.

Sadly updates aren't quite as frequent as I'd like them to be. Anyway, since you and surely some of our other members don't have a facebook I will post all the uploaded blizzard pictures in threads. (the content that is facebook exclusiv will be TH exclusive too now lol )

Well youve got those spell runes so if i remember from the vid correctly i think they said hydra already will have different types through runes. id say the one on the left is coolest

I like the concept art for those guards. It could just be simple artwork, but it feels like they have more "life" to them, making them more real in the game world, as compared to the majority of NPC's walking around in D2 towns that do absolutely nothing and you can't even talk to.

I hated the whole concept in D1 and D2 where the towns were "safe zones". Don't get me wrong, players definitely need at least some time and place where they can sit back and relax for 5 minutes before bashing in more monster heads, plus a place to shop. But this is the World of Sanctuary, with demons slaughtering everything they can as much as they can. Why the hell should players be safe in a pseudo-restricted zone?

On that note, I think it would be cool to have some of the random events in D3 to be monster armies attacking some of the town hubs, where you would need to help ward off the invasion and protect the town. IMO, that would be freaking awesome. I could see some potential hazards with this, in the case of going AFK and not having a "safe zone" for that.

This would be awesome, although i don't see the problem with going AFK. Just go afk away from the city center or something, imo this event should be such that the guards can do fine on their own but if the player joins in he can get loot/exp/gold and stuff + complete a quest ^^ .

I can even see the achievement: Defender - Successfully defended a town.
