diablo2 cdkey doesn´t work(original game)

(BattleChest product)The problem is that the cdkey that comes in the cd case(sticker) do not work, i think the problem is that, in both stickers says:
DiabloII:Lord of Destruction
CD-Key
****-****-****-**** (I´m installing Diablo2 Disk1)
I tried both, and the message says, that I introduce another product cd key.

You should return it to the store you bought it from for another copy if the CD-key doesn't work.

If the store won't take it back, and you're within 90 days of purchase, Blizzard will replace the disk if you send it to them with proof of purchase for free (I think), but it's way simpler to go back to the store, and I don't have the Blizz CD-replacement link just at my fingertips right now.

I'd email blizzard about that, they'll probably replace it for free since their factory messed up.

if you contact Blizzard, they will likely request that you send back both the discs and and the original case that they came in.

If you can, bring it back to the store where it was purchased.

But he specifically said Battle Chest in this post, so hopefully he took the advice from the previous post to heart and went out and bought the game.

Either it's a legit copy, so he should be able to get it exchanged for a different CD, or it's not, and he'll have to go out and buy a copy.

what i ment with the previous copy statement was (i was in a super rush this morning to get to work)
that it is prolly related to his prior copied install with a different cd key .
prolly has to uninstall battlenet using the add/remove folder and then totally delete the diablo2 folder and then go into the registry and wipe every refference to diablo2 or blizzard in his registery

uninstalling deletes the MPQ file the cdkey is installed in. Battle.net has nothing to do with installing anyway.
I shouldn't think it would make a difference.
