DirectX problem

Hi, i recently got a "Error 22" message after trying to run "Diablo2 LOD"(there were no previous issues until now) and tried to troubleshoot it...with no luck. the only other thing i know is that directx has some issues pertaining to directdraw and 3d applications. I know that you cannot uninstall directx, so what should I do?
 
* Right click on the "My Computer" Icon.
* Click on "Properties".
* Click on the "Performance" tab at the top.
* Click on the "Graphics" button on the bottom.
* Check to make sure the "Hardware Acceleration" is set to either "All accelerator functions", or "Most accelerator functions".
* If this is set to either "No accelerator functions", or "Basic accelerator functions" the video test will not find any video modes for Diablo II to run with.
* Enable DirectDraw & Direct3D Acceleration.
* Adjust the AGP/clk to 1/1 and the PCI/clk 1/3 in your BIOS.
* Make sure you have the latest video card drivers available from our drivers page (http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=msi0371p). Make sure the latest video drivers you are using are compatible with the latest version of DirectX or you could experience video problems. Contact your video card manufacturer to ensure compatibility if you cannot find the information on the page you downloaded your video drivers from.
* Latest version of Direct X installed.
* Run dxdiag.exe and make sure video acceleration is not disabled.
* Check to make sure you have the latest driver for the monitor. Or monitor manufacturers driver installed.

im having problem with directx for warcraft it say it cant intilize or whatever the direct x make sure you have 8.1 or better i downloaded 9.0 then i download 8.1 sill the same message

    I'd rather personally just own a backup of the Nuon data than see it go to AtariAge honestly. If it gets enshittified as per usual, or if some of the "regular" Jaguar folks get there, it's not gonna be fun
