DON'T use dependecies!!

OMG spend like 20 hours on my map and CAN'T upload it!
Does anyone else got this error too?
Whatever you trigger player settings or game variants, the upload keeps showing 'failed' in the upload dialog.
When I tried the map without 'dependecies' it worked fine.

I will keep the map at my computer though
Maybe battle.net will fix this f***ing bug sometimes

Dependencies are most likely not the cause of this error. There are many weird errors that you can get while publishing and I've found that they're rarely that descriptive. The most common one I think is when the player properties are not the same as the game variants.

Try removing the game variants and then publishing and see if it makes a difference.

I might be wrong of course but there's a ton of maps using dependencies on battle.net and I've never heard of it being the cause of a failed upload before.

Edit: If you could specify the entire error message, it would give us a better idea of the actual problem.

I found it out!! YES!

The cause of it is the player properties! not the game variants!
I know this because I just uploaded a map with a game variant!

In player properties you must not select a player color, just keep it on 'any'

For the record, I think you can select a player color in player properties as long as you lock it to that color in the game variants as well. It takes some messing to get it to work but you have to make sure you're consistent.

For example: If you say that player 1 is red in the player properties but then in the game variant you make it so you can pick any color. If player 1 picks another color, it all screws up.
