There is a little-known ability in the World Editor.

I will share it with you.

It is called... Immolation.

Change the buff art.

Pulse Nova? Necrolyte? The one which either damages enemies or heals allies?

You need 2 abilities based off Fan of Knives. FoK1 is the actual hero ability, the one which has normal damage and mana cost and all. Now, this ability is the hero ability... FoK2 is a dummy ability which has negative damage, to heal (use SHIFT + double click the field you want to change to allow negative values). Then trigger the dummy ability to cast.

 Ability being cast Equal to FoK1
Actions
 Unit - Create 1 dummy for someone at somewhere...
 Unit - Add FoK2 to (Last created unit)
 Unit - Set level of FoK2 for (Last created unit) to (level of FoK1 for (Triggering unit))
 Unit - Order (Last created unit) to FoK
 Unit - Add 2 second generic expiration timer to (LAst created unit)
 Unit - Hide (Last created unit)

Be sure that the hero is having the damaging FoK while the dummy is having the 'healing' FoK.

That would be Death Pulse.

Pulse Nova is Leshrac's ultimate, which creates flame columns on nearby enemies.

You should describe the spell, not everyone plays dota *looks around at map makers.*

And yes, the Pulse Nova is made out of Immolation, just much faster mana cost and faster pulsing. I think to make it faster you change the duration.
