I just finished the whole dreadsteed quest. (Epic mount for warlocks)
I still have around 600g left.
My guild and I just downed Majordomo Executus.
He is the second to last boss in MC (Molten Core, 40 man instance/dungeon)
Really fun. We tried killing Ragnaros (final boss) for fun and we got him down to 72%. Not too bad, we're planning on killing Onyxia (Another big boss in another instance) before Ragnaros so we can get fire resistance.

My husband does a few quests with an up and coming lvl 60, she hits lvl 60 and GIFTS him the cash for his steed

Here I am turnin out trades, grindin and fishin for damned stonescale eels to sell in AH

Epic warlock and paladin mounts aren't free. They have to buy alot of different materials to craft the stuff for the quests.

Sorry to pop your bubble Jen but our lvl 40 mount is free.
We go to our warlock trainer, get a quest.
Reach Ratchet, talk to a guy and he gives me the hardest quest ever!
He tell me to listen to him and talk to him again!
Then he rewards me with my felsteed.
The dreadsteed is hard tho.
I hit 60 2 weeks ago and only got it now.
I started right when I hit 60.

My class gets plate mail, so I guess we can concede a mount for yas

80g is not that hard to farm, I had 100g by the time I was lvl 40.
Just run instances and auction all those green items.

That's kinda funny...Considering the fact that warriors have been stricken with the nerf bat since release to compensate for the newer and better melee itemization.

I can't tell you the last time I actually got through an entire instance
Normally what happens to me is, a group gets together, we get half way through or less and half the people have to go leaving the other half with the only option of hearthing out. I think I have tried to run through ZF about 4 times and never made it halfway through nor completed any quests.

Don't get me started on Guilds
I have been in three
And currently on a good 5 month run of being in none.
I had a great guild once
Snif snif
We ran great together
It formed when two friends and a few other people including me happend to meet up at cleft of shadow at the same time, decided to do it together, had a great time, formed a guild.

Then one day I log on, two of the founders had a huge fight, ended their RL friendship and dissolved the guild.
Faction guilds were attempted out of the original group but never worked out quite right.

After that I joined a guild and had a bunch of RL stuff going on and couldn't log on for a month and was kicked out due to inactivity
And the last guild, no one wanted to do anything together. The higher level guys wouldn't go lower than 10 levels below them and the low level people could never get enough help. Then it had one guy bitchin how no one helped and he was the worst at helping. and he would complain about how some people would go a week or two with no log on and needed kicked out because they weren't every day contributors (which I think he was aiming those comments at me) So I stopped logging on until they kicked me out. LOL

maybe someday I will join another guild, but not from random invites or guild recruitment, but like the first one, where a bunch of people having a good time say, let's do this more often.

I used to play Tibia, which was a similiar game (in genre, not quality, so don't kill me for the comparison :D) and I had a similiar experience with guilds.

The first one was when I first played. One of my mentors as a sorcerer started a guild and I was in it simply because I backed her up a lot. However, I was later glad I joined it cause it got me a lot of great friends, some of whom I still talk to today.

However, it fell to pieces when the leader (my mentor) basically start losing touch with reality o_O No exaggeration, she just fell apart.

So the guild tanked.

Me and some of the other guys started a spin-off guild and actually made a few alliances with some other spin-offs. However, the first guild's rival guild was enjoying having us gone and didn't want to see us make a comeback, so they declared war on us, which we lost because the guilds were divided (in location. Each guild had a guild house in a SEPARATE major town... Gah!)

Then we said screw it and disbanded and went our separate ways, basically just staying hunting partners. After awhile, we mostly stopped playing at all.

Then I came back, and a few people actually recognized a part of my screen name and recruited me, soley on intelligence about the game, ROFL! But I didn't enjoy leading people around like that, so I quit the guild, and eventually the game again.

Now, the last one I went in was weird. It was created by one of the original members of the FIRST guild, but I didn't want in. The dude knew I was a lone wolf, so he actually PAID for me to get a "premium" account, if I joined. I did, and he actually made a category, just for me.

Lone Wolf.

ROFL!

Everytime someone "looked" at me, my title read "You see Alexander. He is a Sorcerer. He is a Lone Wolf of <Guild>."

Eventually, I quit, after I told him to stop paying for the account :)

I don't do guilds very well, either :(

I had a 40 man raid for Hogger on my warrior, we wiped twice.

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
