So, I just recently got this game and at first, I didn't like it. For a few reasons...
For starters, I didn't like the first-person view and didn't realize you could change it to third-person. I don't like first-person games, for the most part [yes, that includes shooter games] so that was a downer.
Secondly, the game was kinda... Boring at first. Getting through that first dungeon, out the sewers to the rest of the world... It was kinda mind-grinding to do.
But I got into the world and started running around and now I love this thing! I just bought the guide for it, too... Big, thick guide book for 20 bucks? Pft, no thought required there. I've joined the Mage and Fighter guilds and I've been having fun going around with my Dark Elf Battlemage, killing stuff and learning things. I've done a few quests so far... I got one of my seven Mage Guild recommendation letters and in the guide book, I've just learned that one of the first things you can do after getting them all is creating your Staff. THAT I cannot wait to do, as a Battlemage, I specialize in Destruction magic... That means if I get a Destruction Staff, I can get Fire, Frost or Shock enchantments on it... I'm definitely considering the Frost.
However, first I have to get back into the Mage Guild -.- Apparently I "stole" things from one of the associates, and I'm still confused about this. I've been to TWO Guild halls... Skingrad and Chorrol's. In both of them, one of the first things I do is clean out all the alchemy tools they have and pawn them at the local Skingrad Alchemy shop for gold. Never once have I been told I was "stealing", with other Guild Associates standing right next to me. But I go to save Erthor from a cave of Zombies, pick something up off a table and get told I'm on suspension for stealing from him! Excuse me, did I NOT just wipe out a dozen Zombies to save your ass? Pft. That is gratitude for you.
So, now I'm off running around the world for a batch of bloody flowers to get back in. Then I need to make some more money, in order to buy some good Destruction spells and increase my magic powers, MUAHAHAHA
Anyone else play this?
