Background Story
As a fan of Element TD, I always got some idea on improving it, but the original map was not released. I was thinking to rewrite the map by myself (for sure, it will take me ages to do that).​
Now, Karawasa and his team are no longer working on Element TD for Warcraft 3. He hoped public to continue the map.​
Seeing this as a good chance to improve it, I decided to start working on it.​
Towers/Gameplay/Creeps/Stuffs?
Elements : Normal, Fire, Nature, Earth, Light, Dark and Water.​
Each element is weaker against another element and stronger against another element.​
Special Abilities : Normal, Fast, Regeneration, Illusion, Undead, Mechanical.​
The towers that can be built are based on elements, while creeps spawned may have special abilities. Have fun.​

Spore Cloud :
- The spores are seperated once the primary spore expired.
Contamination :
- Reverted back to older version.

Performance improvement :
Replaced AutoIndex with my own unit indexing system.
Uses Alloc(by Sevion) to allocate structs.
Modified some spells to use T32(Jesus4Lyf).
Rewrote ORBEngine(my damage detection system-based).
Replaced large amount O(n) search with O(1).
Improved some spells's script, making them more efficient.

Gameplay
Rescale time between level to 14/11.5/9/6.5/4
Removed special workers.

Known Issues to be solved in future :
- Scoreboard not coming out in certain situation.
- Players may get different elements when playing in same random mode.

List to things to be improved
- Rewrote the map, making it easier for future development and more efficient.

I'm not going to hide the original version for myself.
I hope you can learn some stuffs from the open source. :)
If you are going to play it nicely, I recommend you to use the non-Open Source version as it is more efficient.

And the Open Source has the same problem as the people in the eletd forum, crash about unfounded functions

I like playing Element TD, there's so many different things to try out.
Just don't do something crazy and ruin the map for me :p

Well I'm back. Nice to see someone decided to play with the open source. I will PM you. I intend to start work from the 4.3b version but would like to incorporate some of your changes.

And the Open Source has the same problem as the people in the eletd forum, crash about unfounded functions
People not only need to run the NewGen editor but they also need UMSWE enabled (an option within NewGen).

Are you encouraging people to make their own version of EleTD?
Eg, could somebody like me make a Element TD Teams?
For example.

Or is this some kind of way to show users things, helping them by showing your code etc.

Originally I released the open source when I quit WC3 so that people could make their own versions. Now that I am back, mine should be the official version. However, a totally different spinoff like Teams would be quite fine by me.

I'm quit from the development. Chances exist, I may still coming back for the development, but not now, it is still a long way to go.

Hmm, the idea of a Team Ele Td kinda excites me.
However I hate the thought of stealing an idea.
If I ever do something like that, I will ofcourse add credits to you.

New beta update, big improvement again!
(Bug hunting yet to be performed and fixed in next beta.)

P/S : NewGen 5e is bugged on this map now. When you complied the map by using it, 2 players are unable to build any tower as the ground data is messed up. Use NewGen 5d + Jasshelper 0.A.2.B.

Beta 09 is up! Critical bug fixes.
Future beta will be focused on bug hunting instead of adding new features, then followed by RC (Release Candidate). :)

P/S : Ignore the cheat and bug testing triggers. I used it for debugging purpose.

Glad to see you are back to working on this. A few quick hits to improve the WC3 version;

-Remove the interest upgrade...just not balanced and can't be
-Make arrow/cannon towers support attribute so they don't get buffed
-Make tier 3 support duals (waterfall etc.) to 90% support from 120%
-Increase duration of Napalm buff (Flamethrower) to 15 seconds

    I think leave it for real old news that cannot be sorted the reason we had it in the first place was a server issue that we do not have anymore. I don't want to get rid of the archive just not put anything in it for now until we figure it out more
