(gold=gold, food=lumber max, army size=food)
Buildings:
Town Center- required to use any governing abilities.

Houses- Gives (x*Mana) gold every few seconds, and takes (y*mana) food, if not enough food, some of the people (mana) die.

Stables- Allows ground units to mount and become horse-units, one for each person working in it.
Skirmisher->Lancer
Footman->Light Calvary
Archer->Horse Archer
Knight->Cavalier
Pikeman-> (need ideas)
Longbowman-> (need ideas)

Research Center- Increases the rate of advancement.

Market- Increases amount of gold produced per house in an area around it.

Happiness- How happy the average joe is, helps with immigration (or emigration).

Taxes- The percent of gold you take to run the empire, higher values reduce happiness.

Rations- The amount of food given to each citizen, increases happiness.

Sounds alot like Heroes and Empires, minus the heroes (yay) and with no noticeable kalenden (boo)

You have a typo in Recruitment Center btw.

The only thing I can really suggest is to have lots of creatures roaming around, natural events (Not just disasters, like weather, raids etc). I dont like how you have 'Armor' to improve melee and ranged. They use different armor types, I suggest having Melee Armor and Ranged Armor. Melee units generally have plating and mail while ranged use leather etc...

You need more buildings, you have plenty for the government part of the game but you do not have towers! (You have forts which are more than a tower, you should have forts AND towers...) "Wall- blocks movement and has a patrolling archer shoot from it, can be upraded to include a tower, which gives nearby walls more archers(damage)" What the hell? Walls wouldnt increase archer damage, maybe give them some sort of the orc burrow ability?

heh, thanks for the input, there are now towers(i might add more variations) and the walls just block, and as for kalenden, I do plan on having raiders that will attack the villages, but less often and there will not be a grand castle thing you have to go into and kill the leader to win, you win by killing all of the other players (or teams) And the armor that affects all is to keep things simple, and it will affect light armored people a lot less than heavy armored, like +1 for light, +3 for medium, +6 for heavy (that ratio, it may turn out to be .1, .3, .6 added).

Computers would be awesome for this type of game, especially if you could set the difficulty. I had some ideas for my own type of game, very similar.

(Houses had a few people come out, that could be made to work, or left alone to make your population happier, and help a bit to increase income)

But I thought heroes would be good. (Not as in that's your only guy, however) You build a temple, and you can summon/revive fallen heroes from the past. (Also units become heroes with kills, that would probably be set by custom value.

For this, maybe you could increase line of sight, or range? That would be more precise. :D

I'm not quite sure what you mean by these walls, however, the way I interpret it is that each wall has an archer on top of it, unless you mess with pathing and allow archers to move on top of the walls. In the largest of walls, specifically those in castles, they are wide enough to have corridors in them that allow for arrow slits and thusly archers inside the walls. I'm not sure if this is during the medieval age or what not though. Also, there is a typo in Research. Good luck with the map, AgentPaper.

Ok I got rid of the whols wierd wall/tower thingy a bit ago, decided it was too complex. and i made a few other changes, like now there is no lumber, but food. (food replaced lumber) And there is an army tax, and if you dont have money to pay them they may (by chance, more happiness reduces the chance) rebel and attack you.

Thanks, I have changes food to show hgappiness, scrapped the max military, and had already changed the lumber to food. and there will be a large test with (hopefully) a bunch of people from here all playing once it gets playable, to help balance things.

And I need an idea for two units, for my archer and spearman line, after they have been upgraded in both combat and the stables.(like the footman line, goes footman-->knight or light calvary--> cavalier)

What happened to the rpg your making.
Its still being made, this is just a minor project. I'm not the only one working on the TRP project, so i have some extra time and thought i'd do this since i've wanted to for a while. And the map isn't rready for actual play, its still in develeopment. but you can be sure i will post it here once i get a workable version.
