A short idea about the game:
a brief explanation about the world:
What help I need:
I just got this idea some time ago, but I was having problems with loading stuff from one map to another one... well, now I finally got it and Im ready to start.
The wayfarer will be a single player RPG for warcraft 3 - frozen throne.
It will be lots of epic size and huge size maps linked to each other creating a gigantic world in which one could take mounths to explore.
The idea is to create a world full of flavorful side quests and have at least one region for each environment possible (forest, northern, cave, jungle, desert, barrens, etc...) in which the main character travels from place to place to complete tasks and finish his main goal.
The game will be ruled by a MAIN quest which is the reason of the character, the main quest leads to a big story that must be completed to finish the game and unlock new regions.
I will start the map during vacation and will work really hard on it.
The line of the game will something like diablo semi-linear story with a gigantic world that remember mmorpgs like WOW and spells and abilities that have the quality of DOTA and AOM spells.
a brief explanation about the world:
-the world is a gigantic area made of lots of maps, it counts with a main continent and some islands spread over the ocean.
-As the game starts lots of regions are locked or are too dangerous for your character, and missions must be complete to unlock those places.
-If you are worried about having to run all the way from one border of the map to the other calm down... Quests alloes you to use services that transport you from different regions in an instant at the cost of gold or in the name of friendship. Also, most quests, starts and ends in the same region (map), so you dont bother with ridiculous load screens all the time.
-as in any other RPG, the initial regions have weak monsters that becomes stronger the most you advance in the game.
What help I need:
Right now I want ideas of things that could be implemented in the map, hero_classes, environments, item classes, etc.
