Epic Run-time Error

On boot my computer returns the following error in a box with the word "Epic" in the heading bar:

Run-time error '6'
Overflow
OK

I click on OK and it goes away but I would like to fix and get rid of the error. I am running on XP.

Goto Start -> Run -> type "msconfig" -> click Startup
list the programs here that are starting and the full filename that is running. I'm sure we can pick out the trouble program and tell you how to get rid of it.

Thanks, I looked in there and found a file that refered to Epic, deleted it, rebooted, and it is gone. Meanwhile, I have some software that keeps giving me problems when I try to install it. Maybe you know the answer to this one.
When I run setup I get this error from the Install Shield Wizard:

Setup has experienced an error
- Close any running programs
-Empty your temporary folder
-Check your internet Connection (Internet-based Setups)
Then try to run setup again
error code -6002

Did the first 2 things. I don't know what it wants me to check in Internet-based setups.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the software is trying to get online for some portion of it or maybe to check a product key. What software and what part of setup does it crash in? Also, are you connected to the internet when you get this message?

It is Illustrator II CS and requires XP. I tried to load it on another XP machine and it went fine. I shut down my system, restarted fresh with no other programs or internet open and still got the error. I don't know what the conflict might be.
