Error in installing WC3 FT again IM so streesed out plz help me fast! plz!

--- i un installed my War Craft 3-forzen throne and installed it back when im was done down loading the patch it says restart then when i press it after that it says and error has occuerd while down loading new upgrade.

Im so mad right now i dont know what to do.

IT wont even let me on b net man

just cuz of an error and i dont even know what this error is



if someone can help me plz help me now plz i want to get back on b net.

What version of Windows are you using? I'm going to have you do a "clean boot" and then try to patch the game again - most likely you've got something running in the background that's causing a problem.

Make sure you're using a valid CD key for both your RoC and TFT. I've heard that you can get error messages when connecting to b.net if either of those keys are incorrect. Sometimes the error messages will be something other than the "Invalid Key" one.

Uninstall the game
Find the folder where it was installed (probably \PROGRAM FILES\WARCRAFTIII) and delete that folder if there is anything still there. Back up any saved games, replays or maps that you want to keep.

Then go to Start --> Run and type REGEDIT (hit ok)


On the left side of the Window you will see a list of folders like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, HKEY_CURRENT_USER and so on. (Actually these are called registry 'hives' and 'keys', not 'folders.')

Browse under HKEY_CURRENT_USER and highlight the "folder" called Battle.net. Delete this folder by pressing the Delete key on your keyboard. (Be very careful that you are only deleting Battle.net or you will screw up your PC.) Then go under the "folder" called Blizzard Entertainment and highlight the Warcraft III subfolder. Delete that Warcraft III subfolder too, if you see it. (Don't delete all of Blizzard Entertainment since this could interfere with other games by Blizzard like Diablo or Starcraft.)

Close the Registry Editor program and then reinstall the game (Install War3 and then immediately install The Frozen Throne), but don't do the patch through Battle.net.

Download the patch manually from here: http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=mwr0744p and then run it to upgrade.
